backstory:

Adria Darkling is a nice little Romanian Gypsy. Her only possessions are...

-A small gypsy housewagon, which looks like this on the out side, and this on the inside, and is pulled by...
-Boxer, her old draft horse
-An old gypsy violin (did they have those in 1309?) found by her grandfather on a grave robbing trip in Ukraine. It's been handed down through the years like this
-Her grandmothers "magic" crystal ball, which she tells fortunes with like this. And finally...
-Her snowhite gypsy cat, Zerina

With this she makes her way in the world peddling in the streets. But as she arrives in Venice she's in for a shock: up ahead about 100 yards the "street" dips into the water and vanishes into a canal! Boxer gives his bells a shake, to ask if there's some mistake. And Zerina meows, like, what do we do meow?. Adria scratches behind Zerina's ears and looks about. I'm not sure, little one. Not sure.
