I got in. Last year I came in second losing by two hit points if I recall.

This year there will be no survivors!

Whoah!

I think this may be the case of the first two-year stint. You got second by such a close margin, this may be your year!

I didn't, but I'll probably be showing up anyway!

Excellent!

Just so folks know, you can still show up and bet on the contestants without actually fighting a monster in the tournament.

Hey folks! Brandon and I are at it again, running Green Blood on a Black Rock 4711!

The lottery hopefuls cast their lots, the numbers have been crunched, and now folks should be able to see what they got.....so I want to know....

Which of you canny captains will be putting up monsters to shed some blood on this black rock? Who got in?

Likewise. This was a fun project and I'd eagerly sign up for a second one.

Totally!!

Go, Ben, go!

I'm fond of humans. They're my favorite monster and PC race at the same time. :)

Guennarr, this thread should answer your questions.

Edit: This thread has more Legendary Games info, as well.

The upcoming book Dungeons of Golarion might be of interest to you.

We can't begrudge sharing any good thing with H-town...otherwise, the place would be just unlivable. I mean, at least in Hell it's a DRY heat...

Point. Mairkurion.

Dallas doesn't deserve Torchy's. Next you'll tell y'all have Freebirds.

Wait! Are you sayin' there're Torchy's in the Dallas area...or do you drive down here for your breakfast tacos?

Thanks for doing this for all of us, Majuba!

I have this new ritual (it's only two years old, and I'm looking forward to the third) where I eat my goblin brains on the flight home while reading my print Wayfinder. Good times.

While I still think a politics-specific section of the message boards would be a bad idea, but since this is a messageboard on a website for a roleplaying game, I do think all politics threads should be populated by "characters" and aliases. That way you can argue different points, seeing how the character you're playing might feel differently than you personally. Plus, roleplaying is real good at lessening that whole "this person is different from me" thing. If you break character too many times in a row, you're not allowed access to that subforum for 24 hours. Since it's all mostly fictional, people wouldn't get as upset. It'd keep things from getting too personal if everyone was a character. So yeah, political section; aliases only. ;)

Would this be a bad time to pitch Hobos of Golarion?

;)

Hopefully the stars will be right for this NeonCon my favourite Dictyoptera; when do I get to drag you or Lou to Manhattan?

As with everything, dear baron, it comes down to time and money. Lou, of course, has less of excuse since he's in the same damned state. ;)

Is that even legal??

What does that matter? It's Disney. If they can't do something, they'll get the laws changed. :)

Actually, the 1.5 Str bit comes from this:

Natural Attacks from the UMR
"... If a creature has only one natural attack, it is always made using the creature's full base attack bonus and adds 1-1/2 the creature's Strength bonus on damage rolls. ..."

I believe Shuttle Express was the shuttle company Tim and a few others mentioned in the past.

I don't know any details, I just brought the link. ;)

Sign me up for one! I'll hit you up with a donation at the con or email me if you want it earlier (to help cover costs).

I'm thoroughly convinced that Paizo has the smartest, most civil messageboards in the whole web. BT, I agree with you pretty much 100%. Abraham Spalding, May I ask what your ideal canidate would be like? Not being snarky or facetious or anything, just curious, because I think you do make some very good points.

We need some more (strong) political parties. Seriously, we do.

That might be a good starter for a new, truly civil, thread.

I'm the kinda guy who'd love to see more than a two-party system and I'm always interested in hearing other people's thoughts.

Unless I am a romantic fool, I thought that the early hospitals in America were all paid for by charities and churches. I remember several hospitals in the state I was raised in that were established by the Archdiocese, and they provided medical care to anyone that needed it.

When I was 20, I was hospitalized for 21 days. I worked as a line cook, didn't have medical insurance, and ran up a $47K bill. A Catholic charity, Sisters of Mercy, paid 90% of my bill, so yeah...lots of medical costs get paid for by charities and churches, and I thank them for it. (Also, I was never once asked anything about my religious views.)

If he had to specify, then yes, your health class really did suck. ;)

Edit: Or....(looks from side to side) You're....an....alien.

Is Carolina Eade one of the most awesomest artists Sarah's wrangled up lately or is it just my imagination?

One of the things Planned Parenthood provides, in addition to all its birthin’/not birthin’ services, is cheap women’s health services for those who can’t afford to go to an expensive gynecologist. I’ve known plenty of women who went to Planned Parenthood for pap smears and the like.

There was a pretty good article in a recent Austin Chronicle talking about Planned Parenthood here in the state of Texas.

That's not a bad gig, if you can get it.

Let us introduce you to Scott.

If so, Chokers.

I've only used them twice, too.

Man, I love chokers.

As a player, GM, and designer, I quite like everything being in the same book.

Sure it took a few adjustments to flip to the right page right off the bat, but I've saved hours of gaming and game design minutes from switching books to flip instead of just flipping in one book over the last couple years.

Well, keep in mind the actually rating things for the lottery doesn't go live until Tuesday, and then you'll have a couple days to look everything over and make your selections before the final lottery calculations happen Friday. At least that's my understanding of it. Since the list went up late, I'm guessing not everything is fully put together and will be either Monday or Tuesday.

At least that reasonably seems like the case to me.

No daring needed. I plan on walking away from any table you're sitting at and it has absolutely nothing to do with PFS. :)

Well played, sir. Well played.

Wait, Jason gets spite tokens!?

That actually makes so much sense.

What is your name? And, as a follow up question, what is your game?

While I believe any monster can find its place in an adventure using the right spark of creativity and interesting narrative and flavor(and sometimes I take it as a challenge), I, as a monster guy, have really enjoyed reading about what folks don't like when it comes to monsters. I admit some of the critters I've designed have fit some criteria of dislike expressed here. :)

We had a great time talking with you, Ryan. Although I knew you were a great interviewer from listening to all the previous podcasts, this experience confirmed it. It's a shame Perram couldn't be there too.

Thanks again, guys!

Who's going to be the overseer for the Special? Is it possible to volunteer for that position?

For that you have to defeat Hitchcock in a hand-to-hand brawl after matching him drink for drink. It's brutal, but fun to watch. Good luck. :)
