Just throwing out some lines to see if there are any players out here. :)

Awesome, thanks Joey!

I think I've mentioned this previously but we have a regular PFS group in Manteca on the first and third Thursday of every month. Even if you aren't too interested in organized play over the longer term, a PFS group can be a good place to meet fellow gamers and organize a home group. That's how I found several of the players in my home group.

There is also a group that meets on Wednesdays in Lodi... a bit of a longer drive. There is a group that plays out of Castle also... not sure when they meet.

That's at Alluring Treasures, right? I think I'm going to post something up there when I get an opportunity, wish I would've seen it early, would've gone up tonight, lol.

Hello all. This is in the same line as my Changes to Rise of the Runelords for 6 players

I am Pathfinderizing everything and adding some of my own changes to make it more challenging.

Here are a few more of the premises I really didnt want to add in my own adventure and I have a player who keeps complaining about starting at First level so im setting this up to start at 2nd level and changing the challenge in the first two books to be about a level higher.

Im using Hero Labs to create all the NPC conversions and the monsters, so that will be the format of all the NPCs and monsters

Im not running it for a little while. Im going to show the encounters each in there own Post if people like this one as much as my Rise to the Rune Lords Thread I will make a Word Document of this stuff

I really enjoyed reading this AP and I think running it will be great too

If you have thoughts ideas or anything else please let me know I always love to bounce ideas

So I don't know if there's any way to private message people on paizo, but Joey, I know you live int he central valley area (old comments on a post of looking for players) so I figured you might know of any players interested in joining one of two campaigns going on (one on sunday early afternoons, the other on tuesday night)

I'll keep an eye on this post, let me know.

Shameless bump, would really like some input guys.
In terms of power and ability, do you think it's balanced?

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Added the ability to comment on the document directly if people want to do that.

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Classes don't have 1d4 hit die anymore. Bump it to match BAB.
Also, the Sorc bloodline, why can't she be Elementalist (Fire)?

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

To answer a few questions I've gotten about the AC bonus, it's part of the Modern campaign setting rules I'm using, everything has a ridiculous defense bonus tacked on to the character because armor only provides DR now. It's based on their BAB. So his Def bonus is equivalent to that of a Fighter/Soldier (name changed on Fighter class for modern-sake)

Pathfinder Rulebook Subscriber

Would really love if you guys took a look at a new class I made for a Pathfinder-converted-to-Modern campaign that I'm running.
The campaign is very "Secret War"/Dresden Files-esque but one player asked what my thoughts on his sorcerer going around parading as a Super Hero in modern day Los Angeles... so my response to him was to make a "Super" class.

I'd like to see this format transferred maybe to a downloadable file kindle. I'd love to be able to use a kindle to look at all the stats.

Yeah, sorry Adam if I wasn't much help. I was just amazed that anyone else was playing Pathfinder in Modesto area, much less actually reading these forums.

That is totally how I feel all the time. As far as I'm concerned most of the pen and paper gamers in the 209 are all World of Darkness and 4E. I hope I can get this game off the ground sometime soon.

Or maybe *crosses fingers* find a campaign to join.

Interesting, there is another group based in the Modesto area. My group meets on Wednesday nights just Northwest of Modesto. They played a greatly modified 1e game before I convinced them to play Pathfinder.

Well if you know any other players that want in on a Friday night game let me know, and also if you need another player for your game I'd love to not be a GM for Pathfinder for once (I feel like I'm the only person in Modesto that prefers PF to 4e sometimes >.<)

And Ogre would you be okay with a newbie coming to check it out one of these nights?

I am pretty sure my gang are not interested in another game, but I'll mention it to them. As for another person, I have to say that I am already at my limits with my 9 players. These guys have been playing together for 30+ years, some of them. I am the newbie, with 5+ years playing with them. I lucked out getting in with these guys and they have become my friends. I don't think they would allow another unknown in to play with us. And frankly my brain might explode with 10 players anyway.

Ogre wrote:
Dark Sasha you are more than welcome to join us in Tracy also. We have 3-4 lady gamers who are constantly scheming to get the female:male ratio in their favor.
Thanks for the invite, but Tracy is just too far for me to travel as I don't live in Modesto, but far to the south. Besides I spent way too much money trying to get in on RPGA events years ago. I am not that interested in organized play these days.

Oh wow, if I knew you had that many players I wouldn't have asked. I don't my groups get bigger than six.

And if any of your players are interested in joining a new campaign have them shoot me an email

Our group is *mostly* newbies. One more is a welcome addition.

Most are new to PFS, some are new to PFRPG, some are new to gaming entirely.

If you are going to show up it would be helpful if you Registered on Warhorn. Walk-ins are ok but it's a little more manageable if you pre-reg.

Which thing is it that I should be registering for?

Hey Adam,

I live in Stockton, and we just started the Tracy group Painlord mentioned with a couple from Modesto (strangely Tracy worked out for all of us better). We'd love to see more people at our PFS games, There are a lot of 1st and 2nd level characters in our group right now so it's a good time to hop in!

You're talking about the organized play with registered characters, right?

Painlord wrote:

Hey Adam--

I know this isn't a perfect answer, but your local Bay Area Pathfinder Group holds Pathfinder Society games near you in Tracy.

It's possible that there might be some crossover if you want to ask the group.

Outside of that, maybe you want to come out and play PFS at Kublacon.

Rock on

-Pain

I've never done any Pathfinder Society play, was kind of interested in it too.

I might have to check it out, thanks for the heads up.

Looking for at least one extra player for a Pathfinder campaign currently on hiatus because we lost one of our players recently.

We generally play on Friday evenings about 3 times a month from 7 to 10/11pm but are flexible on schedule.

Game is located in the northeast side of Modesto.

If interested please email me:

I agree with Mauril, they have the same HD and BAB as rogues and that's really what they were going for. This isn't supposed to be a pally, it's supposed to be the Rogue's answer to the Pally.
And considering the fact that Inquisitors really seem to favor ranged weapons (having proficiency with literally everything that has the word "bow" in it) the bump to either really seems unnecessary.
And in accordance with what I read in the design notes for Pathfinder that HD is in line with BAB, +1/2 = d6, +3/4= d8 etc etc (save for the Barb) if you upped one, the designers might be inclined to up both to stick with their system.

I like the math, it's the reason I play 3.5/Pathfinder, not 4E.

And there you go. I see no ruling on this. More importantly, what language(s) does it speak?

I've heard it said that eidolons know all the languages of their summoner. Apparently that was a ruling past down by the game designers.

I imagine whether or not the eidolon can actually speak the languages it understands, however, is up to the chosen form of the eidolon and the concept you the player had in mind.

The ability to speak is based on Int scores. If it has the int scores to speak, then it most likely can.

Yeah, I actually thought Waxen Image should be replaced with a Lesser Simularcum ability. It just seemed more witchy to me.

Though a voodoo doll is very witchy I guess... And I think that's what Waxen Image is trying to replicate. If it were I think it should be more pin-cushion-esque

Azmahel wrote:

Maybe I should create a quick Wiki site, where we can easily post the characters and give their attack routines with all current modifiers.

It is not much extra effort ( in fact it decreases bookkeeping, because not everyone needs to have actual copies of each character.) and really helps with getting all numbers right.

That's a brilliant idea. If you want to take the time/effort to do so, that'd be awesome. But I'd save it for the next playtest.

And I promise I'll be on time if I can get a time/date.
Off to Work.

Last hit before work...
Yasha Full round
Bite: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 241d10 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 181d6 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Claw: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 251d6 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Bah, I need to get ready for work though.

Someone take over me for now, may be able to log a few hours in at work.
I give up my control with these words of wisdom:
I hit for TRIPLE DAMAGE when charging, and I can heal!
Mounted Combat can avoid hits on my cat, and my cat can opt to take hits for me!
A rider used wisely a brilliant thing.

Uses of Lay on Hands for today @ 5 now.

Naylisk already at full continues to be so.

Yasha regains 10 and is now at 42.
Kitty regains 10, is now at -3 ( I believe?) as well as stabilized.

Your right about me not backtracking on this. I do believe that it will benefit the playtest from now on. We are only in round 2-3 I believe and things are about to get interesting.

"Mistakes were made"

Interesting as in he's going to kite us.
