You might want to check out Noble Knight Games - listed for $0.01, though you need to spend at least $15 in other product.

This opinion again?

Just an observation.

So, when we say "give us a chance, take a look at the final rules", that is not a cop out.

Not to pander, but I think these words are well spoken and need to be taken into consideration. While I understand people have their opinions (and are well entitled to them), I find it odd that "conclusions" can be made without having seen the final product. It's not nearly as bad here as over on some other sites, but I find it...well...odd...

As an aside, as much as I have loved seeing the previews, this is one of their inherent dangers - they provide a snapshot, focusing on particular elements without letting one see the entire picture. That being said, I'm really looking forward to seeing the pally preview... ;)

I've had to do this a couple of times and have had great luck simply sending an email to Paizo via the address listed in the order confirmation.

I don't think thats right, I'm speaking morally here, not litterally, I'm sure as a German citizen you are correct, but I don't think the manufacturer should be able to set a price that people who buy from them must meet, unless it is specifically negotiated for in a private contract. I like MSRP, but a seller should have the choice if they want to ignore said MSRP.

Granted I hate walking into a 7-11 because it's the only thing open and having to pay $4 for a $2 product, but I pay for the convenience and don't begrudge them making their money.

Also granted there are times when it shouldn't be allowed, price gouging during a disaster etc.

I'm pretty sure that we'll be seeing more of this here in the US in the coming years. A couple of years back (2007 I think) there was a case that was upheld wherein a manufacture argued and won that they had the right to establish/control the selling price of their product. There were a number of caveats, not the least of which they were able to "prove" that this was in the best interest of the customer/consumer.

I thought that I heard recently that Mayfair Games (?) was trying to use this precedent to establish more control of the prices of their boardgames. Continuing to speculate, I strongly suspect that the "biggies" like WotC and GW are watching these cases very closely and will move once they feel they fully understand the legal ground.

Not sure where it will all pan out, but I suspect in the coming years you'll see less discrepancy between the prices offered by internet (read discounted) retailers and regular b&m stores.

All that being said, like others, I like to support Paizo because their subscription includes the PDF, which generally balances out with the pricing offered by others. Plus, I'm able to support the company directly.

PDFs/subscriptions: Soon. Information will _probably_ be ready next week. Definitely soon.

Previews: Likewise. The book will be completely finished in a matter of hours, and then the showing off can begin in earnest.

Sweet.

Ditto - been waiting for this.

Definitely agree with the FASA reference - some pretty good stuff for Shadowrun and Battletech. GW is far more hazy - a couple of good ones, but pretty similar to most WotC stuff, IMHO.

Thanks to all for the suggestions!!

I've got a hankering to track down some books with a heavy focus on mages/wizards/sorcerors and was wondering if people could offer up some suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Here are a couple you might want to look at:

Neceros Pathfinder Sheets

Pathfinder Character Generator

Pathfinder Dataset for RPGXplorer

I think that it's all a matter of perspective. We got a Wii for our kids this Christmas and they (and we) are loving it. If I had got a system for myself, I would have gone for a PS3, but for the family, the Wii is great. The games (we have) are fun and everyone can enjoy it. Of course there's a lot of "drivel" out there, but then that's what Blockbuster and game rentals are for... ;)

If you subscribe to the Pathfinder AP, you get either 10% or 15% off everything BUT non-Paizo PDFs.

Wasn't aware of that - thanks for the info.

Can someone explain the "Pathfinder Advantage"? I'm hoping it refers to pre-ordering including PDF version upon shipment.

Another author you might want to consider is Sean Russell. He's published several titles, including:

The Initiate Brother
Gatherer of Clouds

I haven't read any of his more recent stories, but enjoyed both of these back in the day. More of an L5R feel than anime (IMHO), but your impressions may vary.

Ironically, I've probably owned 3 sets of 4e books since they were released. I get them, peruse them, realise that they're just not for me and sell them off. My real problem seems to have been a really short memory.

I'm really liking liking the Pathfinder releases, and the "feel" of the products. Not sure if its the art/layout/???, but something about the books really appeals to me - then of course there's the actual content which isn't too shabby either... ;)

Really looking forward to where this is going.

I allow them to spend attacks to gain an additional 5ft movement.

I really like this; it is very close to some ideas I was pondering this past weekend. As an extension (and/or in lieu of), why not consider allowing a fighter to move up to 1/2 base movement and still make a full attack?

I've always liked gnolls - loved to envisage them using the Confrontation-style Wolfen imagery.
