So it saddens me that I am two years out on this string of posts....

What feats would you pick to augment this type of build?

Level 1: Improved grappling?
Level 3: Improved Unarmed Strike (this seems stupid to take)?
Level 6: Greater Grappling?
Level 9: Rapid Grappler?
level 12:

and variant thoughts?

Can you trade off a spell for sonic?
I know that you can take protection from it, just want to know if it falls in this catagory?

Thanks guys, that helps a lot.

Perhaps since the monk can use fighter feats, this may be a chance to have a bonus fighter feat. Or do you think that may be a tad overpowered?

I was reading the martial artist as I am playing one, and I realized that abundant step takes ki energy and it is not able to be used as the martial artist does not get ki. Was this overlooked or is he allowed to use it once a day. I know that the martial artist loses a lot compared to what he gains and was curious if there was a typo. Also the high jump gives a ki option, does this just mean the monk can do the jumps from a still position and not have the ki option? There seems to be a lot lost, for defensive roll and exploit weaknesses.

Any thoughts? (or errata on him?)

Seriously who wasn't thinking when "Terrible Remorse" was put into place. A level 6 bard can take out a level 20 character? It is stronger than Power Word Stun". Is there errata on this? We apparently had a TPK today, by a plethora of NPC's loaded with this spell.

I am an elven wizard who made his save and still died. How is this even possible?

Holy Sheets!

The difference between Sleight of Hand and Steal is that Sleight of Hand is a sneaky-pickpocket version of a taking, while Steal is essentially a Disarm of something not held. There is no attempt at stealth or deftness with a Steal. A bully grabbing your backpack is a Steal, not a Sleight of Hand, for example.

Except.... if you continue along the path to greater steal, beings don't realize that you are taking their belongings.

Does anyone know if there is errata for the Steal Combat Maneuver that allows you to use your sleight of hand for it?

I know that Escape Artist is used in place of your CMB for getting out of holds and grapples and was curious as to whether sleight of hand can be used for Steal.

Some would argue that Strength plays a vital role in it. I disagree as a whip can be used in a steal. And a whip is more of a delicate weapon that precision (dex) would be given.

Can i just use my attack against the CMD of an opponent if I am using a whip?

Sounds like, except for the plastic, what you want is D&D's Monster Vault.

Wanted something more durable, and more aligned to paizo.

You know what I would like to see instead? Tokens. Built to scale. With the beautiful artwork on it. And not cardboard, I would like to see a durable plastic, perhaps even another picture of the monster or player on the back done in reds to show bleeding or dead.

Easy to transport, no set up or worrying about bending, no pieces breaking off, and no falling apart when you friend dumps beer all over the table. You can just rinse throw them in a bag and go. Like poker chips, but that are small, medium, etc.... gargantuan.

Now that is something I would like.

And for the few that want to see the back of figures... perhaps a worms eye view....

This has been faq'd. Echoing trick only works once.
I don't see that in the FAQ - am I just missing it?
Not sure. One of the devs chimed in on a thread of this exact topic a while back.

Spell Perfection

You are unequaled at the casting of one particular spell.
Prerequisites: Spellcraft 15 ranks, at least three metamagic feats.
Benefit: Pick one spell which you have the ability to cast. Whenever you cast that spell you may apply any one metamagic feat you have to that spell without affecting its level or casting time, as long as the total modified level of the spell does not use a spell slot above 9th level. In addition, if you have other feats which allow you to apply a set numerical bonus to any aspect of this spell (such as Spell Focus, Spell Penetration, Weapon Focus [ray], and so on), double the bonus granted by that feat when applied to this spell.

Note the wording...
"Whenever" you cast that spell you may apply any one metamagic feat you have to that spell without affecting its level or casting time, as long as the total modified level of the spell does not use a spell slot above 9th level.

Key word "Whenever".

Still echoing the spell gives you the "ability" to cast is again. Argue all you want it is black and white... should it need to be changed it should be worded differently...

Okay, so I looked at some other posts with regards to echo spell and I think I have found a loophole... Spell Perfection.

If you cast your "signature spell" and can apply a metamagic feat to it on the fly, then you can continuously keep throwing echo spell on it again and again as it says you can apply any metamagic feat to it on the fly that does not bring its level above 9.

This sound right?

So... we have come to the problem of finding an evil robe of the archmagi. Problem is, being lawful good and role-playing can't bring ourselves to sell the darn thing knowing that it WILL fall into someone evils hands.

I have decided to pursue the idea of refurbishing the item and making it a good robe of the archmagi. That way when we sell it, something good will come out of it.

Does anyone know if Pathfinder has rules for such thing? I know it's mentally challenged half brother WOTC does. Just did not know if there was some paragraph some where that addresses this topic.

and. speaking of slow half-brothers... I read somewhere that making armor out of dragon hide now gives resistances, is this still the case?

I could just be crazy...

"The creature or object touched becomes invisible."

Not sure it ever excluded undead or animals but it doesn't now.

As for magic dead zones... I believe you cannot actually summon an eidolon in a magic dead zone but it is not dispelled when it enters one. Maybe someone can bring up a rules quote.

Let me rephrase that... if you are invisible can undead and animals still see you? In the past there was an invisibility to undead and a hide from animals. I upon a quick check could not find if undead and animals can still see you.

Does invisibility now work on all beings including animals and undead?

Does the Eidolan wink out in a magic dead zone or antimagic field it he was brought in with the 10-minute ritual? I know if you quick cast him he would “wink out”

I think in 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons there was a craft scepter in the Forgotten realms setting. I believe that is held two spells instead of one, and the max charges that it held was 25. You needed the craft wand as a prerequisite.

Can a second level Alchemist throw two bombs in one round with rapid shot?

Or does he have to wait for swift bombs at level 8.

I think sitting on the holy symbol of your deity may show him disrespect and cause you to fall out of good standing with him, kinda like dragging the symbol through the mud.

Unless of course, your god is a practical joker.

Realistically, you are not honouring your god, and therefore may lose your turning. Mooning the undead without your turning ability just may bite yoiu in the ass.
