Paizo Publishing Hires Rob McCreary as New Assistant Editor

RPG Superstar Finalist to join Pathfinder staff

Paizo Publishing, LLC is pleased to announce that it has hired Rob McCreary to join its award-winning editorial staff as an Assistant Editor.

"I first noticed Rob McCreary when he was one of the finalists for the first RPG Superstar. His designs, thorough attention to detail, and creativity set his submissions apart from more than 800 contestants,” remembered Paizo’s Publisher Erik Mona. “In the two years since, he's contributed designs to our Pathfinder products that make even the jaded editorial staff ooh and ahh, so when Rob's resume hit our in-box, we all knew we had to hire him immediately. I can't wait to see what he delivers to Pathfinder players as a regular member of our design and editorial staff!”

Rob broke onto the roleplaying scene in 2008 with a top 4 finish in Paizo’s annual RPG Superstar contest. He parlayed his win into a string of freelance writing assignments for Paizo, including parts of the Pathfinder Campaign Setting book; “The Final Wish,” the last adventure of the recently completed Legacy of Fire Pathfinder Adventure Path; and “Rivers Run Red,” the second adventure in the next Pathfinder Adventure Path, Kingmaker.

"I was living in Prague, and I had said that getting a job with Paizo would be one of the only things that could get me back to the States,” said Rob McCreary. “It's a dream come true for me, and I'm really excited about working with all the great writers and designers at Paizo. I can't wait to get started!”

Rob’s first day as part of the Paizo editorial team will be November 2, 2009.
