Paizo Publishing and King of the Castle Games to Produce Campaign Coins

Game Accessories to be released under the GameMastery brand

Tue, Oct 20, 2009, 09:30 AM

Paizo Publishing LLC is excited to announce that it has forged a partnership with King of the Castle Games Company Pty Ltd from Melbourne, Australia to distribute and market King of the Castle's line of Campaign Coins under Paizo's GameMastery brand.

"Since we met Andre at Gen Con 2008, we have been dying to bring his high-quality Campaign Coins under the Paizo umbrella," says Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo. "At Gen Con 2009, we made it a priority to get this deal done, and we can't wait for these coins to hit the marketplace!"

Campaign Coins offer a high-quality, "real-feel" fantasy game monetary system with actual metal coins representing the different metals and denominations commonly found in popular gaming systems. So much more immersive than conventional "pen & paper" recording of your hard earned loot, Campaign Coins create more opportunities for creative roleplaying as you actually hand over cash at your local tavern, bribe a town guard to look the other way, or buy passage to the next exotic port!

"King of the Castle Games is looking forward to a promising and productive relationship with Paizo. We have always thought that our Campaign Coins line would work well under the GameMastery brand and are extremely happy that this new partnership has been formed," said Andre Bishop, Director of King of the Castle. "King of the Castle Games intends to extend our range of Campaign Coins and welcomes the creative spirit and passion Paizo has for delivering high-quality gaming accessories. We are also looking forward to our products having better access to the marketplace through Paizo's extensive distribution network."

The first eight SKUs for this line will hit retail stores in January 2010. Each pack will contain 12 high-quality metal coins. Campaign Coins come in four metal types: copper, silver, gold and platinum. There will be two packs per metal type, one with three low denominations and one with three high denominations. GameMastery Campaign Coin 12-packs will retail for $11.99.
