Well having the pleasure of working with Neil on both Modern Chemistry and Modern Maladies, I was not surprised in the least bit to hear he had won RPG Superstar for 2009. Congrats for all the good work!!! You earned it!!!

I realize that I'm re-donk-ulously late to the party, but congratulations Neil. I'd go into more details on how your entry rocked, but my new data entry job is much busier than I thought. Excellent work!

Is 'laurels' French for 'bum'?

No, but I do believe the correct pluralization should be "laurelides"...

Now that the NCAA tournament for men's basketball is over, I just had to come back to these comments and say...how 'bout them Tarheels! :-D

Yeah yeah yeah, you won AGAIN. Two snaps up for the Tar Heels.
Just make sure to give some love to the UConn women's bball team while you're gloating - 39-0 is pretty frickin amazing in any sport.

Congrats on the win! We'd love to do a quick interview with you for Robot Viking. If you're interested, just email us: zeppelined@robotviking.com.
The good folks at Robot Viking sent me some Q&A interview questions about the RPG Superstar contest, and specifically the Realm of the Fellnight Queen. For anyone who's interested, they've posted my responses here.

Nice interview. I definitely want to be in a game with you at PaizoCon, especially if you're going to play a drunk Treant. :)

I haven't made any gaming plans for PaizoCon. Have they even posted the event sign-up stuff yet?

Sometime in early May, is what I've seen in the PaizoCon message boards.

Gulga Cench:
Mr. Spicer seems to have far too much free time on his hands, so I would recommend that you force him to familiarise himself with events across the several RPG threads down in the Off Topic Discussion forum, and set up a base for you in the Bazaar of the Bizarre.
At present I appear to be the only non goody-two shoes character about in the OTD RPG threads, or at least apparently the only one with any sense for culture or class, and certainly the only one with both brains and a complete lack of insane schemes.
It would be interesting to have a sophisticated and rational participant in events such as yourself about.
If you are interested, and Mr. Spicer has the reading time, I can direct you to a number of the threads he should have been keeping you up to date on goings on in.

My time is spread kind of thin right now. Perhaps I'll have some fun with Gulga on the boards at a later date. But for now, I'm going to stay heads-down on writing Fellnight Queen and just trying to keep up with everything else that's going on in my life at the moment. Thanks for the invitation, though.

And I still say you should enjoy it yourself or give it someone who enjoys beer much more than I. But I'll tip a glass of soda easily enough with you.

Also, for those who are interested, I did a podcast interview regarding the RPG Superstar 2009 competition with 3.5 Private Sanctuary. The interview took place about a month ago, but they've just posted it here. I still hate the sound of my own voice. But I enjoyed the interview.
