We're pleased to announce four more books in the ever-expanding line of Planet Stories novels!

In January 2009, we're releasing Leigh Brackett's The Reavers of Skaith, which wraps up the story began in The Ginger Star and continued in The Hounds of Skaith, with an introduction written especially for Planet Stories by the one and only George Lucas!

February sees The Outlaws of Mars by Otis Adelbert Kline, with an introduction by Joe R. Lansdale—in print for the first time in nearly five decades.

Our March release is The Sword of Rhiannon, a standalone novel from Leigh Brackett with an introduction by Nicola Griffith.

In April, the Planet Stories line brings you Robots Have No Tales by Henry Kuttner, with an introduction by F. Paul Wilson.

We're also honored to announce that Henry Kuttner's The Dark World, which is due this November, will feature an introduction by Piers Anthony!

We're really happy to report that the Planet Stories line is getting a lot of notice and support from the sci-fi community—from fans, publishers, and authors alike—and we're already working on some big releases for the rest of 2009!

Sound good to you? Don't forget that Planet Stories subscribers get 20% off the cover price of each volume!

Qadira (RPG Superstar 2008 Top 6, Contributor)

I can't recommend Planet Stories enough to folks who don't already have a subscription. Every book has been at least a fun read, and several of them have exposed to wonderful authors that I hadn't read before. If you're a scifi fan and you aren't getting the books, you're missing out!

Despite being woefully behind in my PS readings, I have to agree. Step away from the high-gloss mass market NYT bestseller lists and take a gander at some of original pioneers of the sci-fi/sword n' sorcery/pulp genres.

Great to see the line expanding. These are wonderful high quality books that should be read.

Hi!
This is truly great news. I'm so glad to hear the the line is doing so well. To be honest I wasn't so sure of how much support this line of books would receive from younger readers and gamers. and it is a pleasant suprise to see that the line is going strong.
take care and congratulations.

I had considered dropping my Planet Stories subscription and just picking up the specific books I was interested in, but the additional books by Brackett was enough to keep me hooked for another year. Well played, Paizo, well played.

Looks like the line continues to rock!

Bring us Pathfinder fiction next!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Tales Subscriber)

I an taking the leap and becoming a Planet Stories Subscriber.

I am currently reading the Elric stories and it's really nice to read a book full of short stories and take a break from 7 book series of 900 page epics.

I will be reading the first Leigh Brakett book on vacation and I will let you know wheather I like it when I get back.

Agreed! And I can say with confidence that I think this batch of Brackett is even better than the last.

James,

I had not read any of these books until I read your review. Thanks very much for highlighting this series of books, I'll be checking them all out as they become available :)

Hey, thanks Craig! I think you'll really enjoy them... as Erik likes to point out, I was actually skeptical of old sword-and-planet stories when I started working here, but if anybody can make someone an S&P fan, it's Brackett. :)

That'd be a good hiring test for someone who hadn't. Read this Brackett book, write me a review. ;-)
