"Tieflings? See, that's what I'm talking about. My fellows spend so much time obsessing over fiends, then they act so shocked when their children have their lover's looks. Shameful, really."
Well, I just poked Seeker, so we'll soon find out if Loba's in.

"I think the lady had to head out to greet a couple of people. I wonder if she invited them?"
Just an excuse for her silence the whole time while we spoke, and an analogy for the two players who may end up entering. By the same token, it could be two people asking for directions.

Hey all, I did not know this game was not dead. After a month I stopped checking. I have since joined another game, and had a hard drive crash, loosing the data on 3 pbp games I am running. Simply put I am not sure I have the time for this now with the massive amount of time rebuilding 3 games is taking.

Benicio stands quietly, looking about. He's heard enough about the city to worry about staying too long, but he's not about to leave.

In a case of really bad timing, I caught a nasty stomach flu and have been pretty useless after working all weekend. If everyone can stand to wait just a little longer, I'm going to try to feel up to posting over the next few days.

I'm just glad that we'll be playing, eventually. Thanks for taking up the slack! See ya when you're ready.

I've no problem with waiting a bit longer. I note that it appears you still conveniently have a vacant spot where there used to be a Monk...

Meh. I'm about to stop polling this thread. This game is quite obviously stillborn.

Calm down. The DM still has to get the book and such, have patience.

Hey everybody,
This is an apology for my terrible behaviour in the past couple of months. Real life got crazy for a while (what with me getting H1N1 and beginning substitute teaching all over the place), but that's not an excuse for disappearing without leaving you all a message about it.
I remembered this thread today, and I saw that you had continued posting in my absence, which was really awesome of you guys considering my jerkiness. So, if you're still willing, and if you can forgive my breaking of the GM/player trust, I'd be willing to start this back up if you are.
If you're still interested, please let me know by posting in this thread, and we can keep this PbP from dying after all. For those of you that have already moved on to other threads, I totally understand, but hope you will still accept my apology.
Once again, I'm sorry about my crapulence.
Cheers,
Nameless

Let's see, most of us said we were still here earlier, so really we just switch Loba out for seeker's character and we should be ready to continue.

I was just about to start tomorrow, now that I had enough money to afford the book. I'm still getting over the stomach flu, but everyone else in the house is better and that takes a lot of the pressure off me.
If Nameless is back and ready to go, I don't have to drop Rakless. I'm sure we'd all rather continue on with the game as it was started than transition a new DM.

As you say, I'm definitely willing to return to my GM duties, but if you were all ready to transition over to another game, I don't want to get in the way. Please, do what you want most. If we need another recruitment for this game, that's fine by me, too. I'll just wait a day or so to see what the rest of the players think.

First of all, we were just going to continue the game, I think. Second: Of course we want to continue the game! No offense to Warforged's DMing skills, but we're hardly going to kick you out of your own game!
Anyways, I don't think the game would be as fun without everybody's favorite Nameless guy (not to mention that we'll be able to keep Rakless around, too).
Here's hoping WFG hasn't already bought the book. ;)

I'll think I'll allow Loba to take my spot. At the time I had alot of game rebuilding going on and could barely keep up with my other games. And I do not feel right taking back the spot as he has already made someone for it

No offense taken. :) I wasn't able to afford it before Friday and fortunately saw the message from Nameless in time to avoid buying it.

Well, I'm definitely still interested, if you'll have me. Also, I apologize for the impatience I showed the other day.
Earlier in either this thread or the recruitment thread, I asked Warforged Gardener to approve my race selection of Tiefling combined with the Fiendish Heritage: Devil-Spawn feat. Before we start, I should reiterate this request for approval to Nameless GM.
Also, I'm keenly interested in a couple of the feats introduced in the recent Pathfinder Companion, Cheliax - Empire of Devils. In particular, although I've no need to take either of them at first level, at some point I'd like to be able to take both Belier's Bite and Cornugon Stun.

Mmm, okay. This is cool.
My interest in Belier's Bite led me to do some deeper background research in the campaign setting book, where I discovered, in the section on Isger, the Sisters of the Golden Erinyes and the associated feat, Hamalatsu.
Given this, I'd also like to consider reshaping her obvious physical deformities to something based upon either the belier devil or barbed devil physiology, especially since my randomly rolled "dog-faced" feature doesn't really match any of the known devil traits.
Of course, being a female Tiefling orphan with obvious ancestry stemming from a barbed devil would provide further reason why the Sisterhood would have harbored the child.

Loba, the Tiefling is fine, but I'd prefer it if you just used the Tiefling article from PF25 as a resource, I don't have the Cheliax book, so I'd rather avoid using it. Also, please list your Tiefling trait that you randomly rolled... Which benefit does it provide? I know some of them can be pretty broken, so I just want to make sure...
That said, this PbP is officially restarted, folks! So keep OoC comments properly coloured and any rules/character creation question under spoiler tags, please! I will be posting Janiven's response this afternoon.

Janiven, having taken a considerable long time to formulate her response, finally begins to speak again.
"What I am asking," she begins, "is not that you consider yourselves rebels or revolutionaries, but more as liberators. The people of Westcrown have been oppressed for far too long; there are curfews to keep our families in hiding, shadow beasts to prey on those who dare disobey, and the Order of the Nail to make sure that no-one even sneezes in the direction of a House Thrune representative. Our own city guard are all but powerless in front of them. I ask, is this freedom?"
"As always, it comes down to a group of people who have the will, inclination and power to change things, and I believe that the group I've gathered here has the strength to do just that. Will we need strength of arms? Perhaps. But a city is not won with swords and battles, it is won with by gaining the trust of its people and fostering hope in their hearts and their minds. This is what I have collected you for."
"And this, is what I believe we have to do to save this city from the darkness that swallows it every night."

"Thrune. Those fools give the rest of us diobolists a bad name. You have my aid, if only to finally put one over those self-important buffoons."
Knowledge(Nobility), what do I know about House Thrune anyway? 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
