The Year of the Shadow Lodge is coming! Clear your schedules, you don’t want to miss this unique Pathfinder Society event coming up on October 2nd at the Redmond Games and Gizmos at Noon.
For those of you who haven’t heard of this event, let me enlighten you. The Year of the Shadow Lodge is a special Society mission in which multiple tables of Pathfinders work together throughout the mission. Pathfinders of all levels (except 12… so not really all… but 1-11 are fine) are welcome to come join and share their skills to help fight this epic battle. In addition, both Joshua Frost (Paizo's grumpy event coordinator) and Mark Moreland (Paizo's new bushy-eyed developer) will be attending!
If you are interested in joining, let me know by sending me an email to karuikage at karuikage dot net. I will be keeping track of signups on a Google Spreadsheet I made, so be sure you sign up early! I have no idea how many people will want to come, but it is better to be safe than sorry!
When you sign up, the most important thing I need is your name. If at all possible, let me know the level (and name/class I suppose) of the character you wish to play. This way I can kind of plan out what table will have what Tier before the game.
Lastly, if you are at all available to GM, I might need some more! We will have 7 tables available and I have only a couple table GMs so far (myself taking the Overlord GM spot).
(Keep in mind that the above sheet is not meant to be edited by anyone other then me, it is just a way for me to keep track of people and for you to see who all is confirmed to come. To signup, just email me your information and I will make sure you are added.)

Oh, and you could always just give me your name/level here too. Whatever works. :)
Hello from the South Sound (Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater). This sounds like a blast. A couple of questions though. Is it advisable to only play this once? Is XP involved or is it a side thing for fun? We have a few people interested and can't wait. Plus it would be fun to meet some of you from up north!
Thanks for the info Josh. I am still coordinating with people who may go and will email Blake with the signups as soon as I talk to two more people. I can't wait!

I am still looking for some more GMs as I only have two table ones confirmed so far. If anyone interested in playing would also be willing to GM, please let me know. :)

I can run a table.

That's great Uktabi, thanks! If you could send me an email with your real name (email addy is in first post) then I'll set you up as a GM for table 3.
I am signed up at the 6-7 table, and was hoping to coordinate with the other players in the same tier.
Currently, it looks like the 6-7 table has 3 melee characters and a rogue (who may or may not be a "skill monkey".). This leaves a deficieny in casting, healing, and ranged capabilities.
So what I'm trying to say is: anybody know a 7th level cleric?

I have a bard in that range. We may have another 1 or 2 characters in that range as well. Only about 1/2 of our group has actually signed up yet as we meet this Saturday (Sept 25). I will have a better definite number of players and corresponding characters to e-mail after that. We play in Olympia and have to coordinate rides for a lot of our members, so logistics have to be worked out before firm signups are made.
That said there are 2 rangers in that range and myself (bard). I will keep in touch.
I'll definitely be there, with at least one other person (Likely my father, who has a level 2 cleric of Sarenrae). I'll be glad to GM one of the tables.
Two rangers and a bard... Three half- casters, all skilled, and cure light wounds wand friendly all. Very nice, especially if your bard has haste and see invis (or glitterdust). Still no fly, but it seems likely at least one of the rangers is an archer. As long as we stick to out of combat healing, we'll be fine.
Alright my tactical/party balance sensibilities are satisfied (although Blake told me I'm overthinking things; I'm just cautious about events with the word "special" in the description)

All I'm saying is at higher levels, lack of mobility kills. Multiple times recently I've played in parties that were nearly wiped out by (a) eriynes or (b) invisible vampiric spellcasters across giant pits (really, really big pits) because they were a bunch of guys with swords (and no bows) or spellcasters without any sort of mobility spells. (Weren't you at paizo con running said game with invisible vampiric spellcasters)

Marked you as DMing Table 3 Dane, since Garrett had to bail out unfortunately.
and while I'm thinking about it, will there be copies of the adventure provided there for those running, or will we be able to get one beforehand? I've played through the event, but haven't run it before myself. I'm decent at running cold, but I do like some preparation time :)
This isn't showing up in the "Find Events". Maybe more players would come if it did.
Ross is beating the servers mercilessly to find the source of this very annoying bug. Like Mark said, we're about to promote this through other channels.

I will be sending out PDF copies to the confirmed GMs tomorrow or Wednesday (assuming Josh gives me the ok), and there should be copies on hand at the store for GMs as well. To be safe, it may be best to print out the PDF I send if at all possible.
As for an Event on Paizo's site, I actually didn't create one yet. I'll go ahead and throw that up there, it seems silly to have forgotten that detail. :D

Friendly reminder for all coordinators and GMs ... you may not distribute our PDFs under any circumstances. Provide me with the paizo.com account emails of your GMs and I will get them PDF copies. You may distribute physical copies to your GMs. :-)

Which is exactly what I meant. "I will be sending out PDF copies" means "I will be giving Josh emails of each person so he can add PDF copies". I just wanted to take all the credit of awesome. <_<
Starts at noon, but how long will it take? Standard single PFS session or is it longer? Just planning out my evening and didn't want to double book. Thanks.
Well everyone, it was a GREAT time. I had a blast. It was really nice to put a face to some of these forum handles I've been seeing for the past year. It would be great to try and make it up there some other time. I once again extend a welcome to all of you to join us in Olympia if you ever find yourself down here and need to drop in on a game. I really hope to see more of all of you in the future!
LtlBtyRam (on the boards)
Majet (in game)
Angela (hey look I really do have an actual name!)

It was a lot of fun to run, although I hope enough people could understand me despite my 'just getting over being sick' voice. I will also never forget that the goal of 18 Pathfinders on one fateful day was to get a horse over a 30 foot gate.

I believe the final solution was a block and tackle, though so many suggestions were put forth I can't quite remember which was finally settled upon. No wonder the attackers did so much damage on the other side of the wall, for how long it took to get that mount over.
Forgot to return to this and say thanks for making it happen. An absolute blast, especially having the privilege of aiding fellow Pathfinders from other tables in healing their wounds. Ding CL4! :D

+ 1 Hope this isn't the last PFS event held in Redmond.
