Okay folks, I dunno if you're aware of this...BUT NOBODY'S PLAYING PATHFINDER IN NASHVILLE!!! If there are players, they sure aren't very social or publicly active, that's for certain. Having played all manifestations of D&D (from basic to 4.0), I've found that, not only does Pathfinder pick up where 3.5 left off (in a good way mind you!), this game has knocked off all the superflous edges that it's predecessors have left.
Having said all my praises & lamentaions, my fellow members of the Pathfinder's Guild please hear me.
Nashville, TN is a hotbed (does hotbed apply to gaming?) for all sorts of gaming...from PnP games to LARP to MMORPGs. But, this little big city...though a true gem of the south, is allways trying to do what bigger towns do. The PnP gamers here seem to have converged into the new Living D&D crowd & that's a shame. Don't get me wrong. I haven't even played that stuff. Hells, it's probally a good system. But people in my area are missing out on Pathfinder for sure & I know that the old school gamers like myself are certain to love it if given a chance.
When I came back to Nashville from Sarasota a year ago, I tried to get a game started, but nobody was biting. So, this is yet another plea for ANY Pathfinder players in my area to unite and assemble. If you have fears of GMing, I don't. I'd rather be just a player, but I've no qualms in GMing if that's the hold up. I'll even create orginal campains that are catered to your characters & playing style if you'd like. People...I'm just really tired of MMORPGS. Can you help me out here?
If anyone reading this & are not from my area knows a way that I can get a regular game started, please tell me. I'd like to see my city doing big things for the Pathfinder Society.
Have you looked at "The Game Keep" in East Nashville? The owner has table space in the back and lets people play whatever most any time.
Me and a couple of buddies played a few Pathfinder Society games at Gen Con this year, but that was the only time any of us had done any kind of organized play.

THE GAME KEEP in EAST NASHVILLE? You sure it's not in Madison...or worse (only because it's too far for me) Hendersonville? If it's in East Nashville, then I'm so there...
I live about an hour away now, so I don't get in there as much as I used to, so I have no idea what the potential Pathfinder scene is there, but I do know people play mini games, card games, and RPGs there regularly. Be a good place to start.

Well, thanks for the info. I'm trying get a game up and running, so that helps a lot. I just feel that a lot of folks don't even know about Pathfinder, so my quest is a hard one.
Just in case anyone in is still monitoring this blog, I'm starting a Pathfinder game up in January(1.07.2110 to be exact). I'll be GMing & I have 3 people who've said they'll play. I'm looking for more. Please contact me through this blog of you're interested.
Are you looking to run PFS modules or run an ongoing game of your own design using the PF rules. I live too far away (2.5 hours) to make a regular appearance, but if running PFS modules, I could show from time to time.
