ANONYCON is advertising a PFS game, obviously someone here must be running it. Just wondering about the details, I'm not a big Con guy normally, but we're talking Pathfinder way out here on the east coast!

Art Lobdell will be the primary Pathfinder Society GM, but we also have a few more lined up in case demand increases.

Any other questions I can answer about AnonyCon? :)

That's what you told me on Nexus too ;) I haven't seen too many people that local on these boards. Maybe Art goes by a different screen name here? Just puttin the feelers out and hoping to overcome my con-o-phobia. You should put a link up on http://www.penandpapergames.com/index.php

for the con...there's quite a few local gamers on there also

Good idea, I'll go do that.

Seems like Pathfinder is getting some signups, and I have more GMs available if we get more demand.

I will be attending the Con myself, as the location is only a short drive away. I have been chatting with Art about running some PFS stuff, and it sounds like our numbers are growing.

Any how if anyone else is interested in going follow the link: Anonycon

Hope to see you there!

I'd love to make it up for Saturday's PFS offerings but have a prior engagement. Sadly, I've played all but one the other two days and it wouldn't be worth the trip for something I can play closer to home and for a significantly lower entry price at a later date. Good job promoting the society so thoroughly at the Con though. Hope you all have a great time.

Big up to all the people going to the convention.

The only thing that has kept D&D alive in my heart are conventions.
(funny that the above memeber mentioned convention-phobia)

I would encourage anyone whether a complet enovice to a life time game designer to attend. Conventions have some of the nicest people and make you pround to call yourself a roleplayer.

My own experience makes me adore Convention roleplaying, but very leary of campaign-type games (such as Living City, Living Forgotten Realms, and even Pathfinder Society). I have played with too many folk who adore treausre and leveling in lieu of story, cinematography, and roleplaying. Its the players who help write the story (even if the DM has the written adventure, its still full of blanks that only good characters can flush out). The cinematography is in the mind's eye of all the players and DM and requires the use of good dialoge, pantomime, and using adjectives and desribtion that bring the story to life. When players talk, and talk well, the adventure becomes a beautiful thing.

And Heaven-to-Betsy People and Pathfinders out there: make sure you roleplay. I have a strong STRONG feeling that this living campaign called Pathfinder Society has not only the potential, but also the innate destiny to be THE number one roleplaying compaign at Conventions. Let the Living Forgotten Realmers cheat and fudge numbers in for the sale of wealth and power... I'll take a good Pathfinder Roleply session anyday.

Pathfinders Play by the Roles, not the rolls. Hu-RAH.

I will be judging 2 rounds of PFS and hopefully playing 1 on Saturday at the con.

Historically this is a really good con the con staff and the hotel really go out of their way to accommodate the players,

This convention, though small, was run by friendly and helpful staff. (also, the hotel was excellent.. swanky with super swanky martini bar).

Thanks Anonycon! I had a great time in Stamford, CT this past weekend. One bad point at the convention was, sadly, the Pathfinder games I played. The Pathfinder scenarios I palyed at Anonycon just did not encourage roleplay. Judges didn't encourage players to roleplay AND players didn't encourage players to roleplay. Perhaps I just had games with players who did not care about character-to-character emotions, intrigue, conversation, and personality. The players themselves were very friendly though. I must applaude Anonycon for the NON-Pathfinder games: These "Anonycon Original" Scenarios that were written and judged by Anonycon Staff were far FAR superior to the Pathfinder Scenarios despite the excellent writing in the Pathfinder Modules. Anonycon Judges were excellent Roleplayers and Storytellers, intimately familiar with the adventures and world even when it was not there own game world. They filed in the blanks, improvised NPCs, made each combat not just tactical but as exciting as dramatic cinema, and got players to bust out of their shells and roleplay creatively with NPCs and PCs alike. Bravo Anonycon!! I'll be there next year definitely.

I didn't make it, m'self as it was the finale of one of my groups...a 2 day marathon game. I was going to try for friday night, but that wouldn't go over big with the family (playing friday, saturday AND sunday) Not fear, as I had posited earlier. One of these years...

I am interested what scenarios did you play I played PFS# 8 & 9 and ran PFS#4 on Saturday were we at a table together?

I felt the tables I was at were solid roleplaying games.

I am very glad you enjoyed the con it is one of the better ones.
