So I have a good idea who's GMing and playing Pathfinder Society in the United Kingdom, but I have less of an idea who's participating in continental Europe. If you are playing in a regular game of Pathfinder Society Organized Play on the continent, or even just played Pathfinder Society at a convention on the continent, post about it here. I'd like to get a better sense of where the Pathfinder Society community stands in Europe outside of the United Kingdom.

Hi Josh,
My group is playing, though we are very late in the scenarios, and we prefer to play Rise of the Runelords, so we play PFS instead when we are not numerous enough.
We have been going through a quiet time as I was moving places, but the regular schedule should resume soon.
Black Raven from these boards is part of our team.

Josh, there are quite a few players here in Germany, Many are spread out and do not have the funds to travel I have discovered. I have heard rumors of a few groups in the Military Community around here in Germany but have not been able to track them down.. DOH! The English and German Pathfinder books sell well at the local store and also the book store on base sells Pathfinder
That said, in a few months I will no longer be here and will be returning to the States.
We are a group of pathfinders playing Organized play in Copenhagen Denmark and we presented it at a convention recently ("Vintersol" at Odense - grap a map), which will hopefully spawn new groups. We, however, will continue to play regularly and at conventions....trying to get our stars and reach the levelcap. (This group involves Entropi, Son of Dad and Grandfather as well)
I ran a "mock" PFS session for my group lately and I plan to run some "full" sessions (reporting and all) once I understand the system.
I also hope to evangelize about Pathfinder in Poland, starting with an RPG-LARP club in my town. Since the books are recently available in FLGS over here, it's time for some promotion !

Just elaborating on aslak's post:
Aside from whatever Con action we can get in on, I am also planning on running a number of home games and posibly store games as well. I will keep you posted.
Probably not quite the information you're looking for, but I run a Pathfinder Society group here at lovely Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo. The group is struggling to stay regular, and it will only last until around August of this year (since its made up of regularly-rotating military personnel).
Awesome! Looking through your sessions, I can see that you guys are quite active (and I'm pretty sure I met you at Gen Con UK 2008!). How many are in your group? Are you playing primarily in Paris or somewhere else?
I'm trying to get things started in the Netherlands. Converting ex-Living Greyhawkers from Living Forgotten Realms back to 3.5 shouldn't be that difficult...

Yes, yes, we did meet at this con !
I wish I could have joined this year too, but I have been really busy with real life (such as moving) and I really could not make it.
Well, right now, we are nine, but we could probably persuade some former LGH players to join too. We need to get back to them for other things, and it's probably just a matter of time.
I suppose some other groups could be playing, but I do not know about them.

Auke,
Where are you in the Netherlands? I'll be in and around Uden in early May.
Cool. I'm in Utrecht. No pathfinder society game running yet, although I've been itching to get one going as soon as my schedule clears up a bit (hopefully after the summer).
I would love to participate PFS. So far my group has played only 1 PFS game to try it. It's a shame that Pathfinder seems almost non-exist here in the Netherlands (Delft), no game store that I know of carries it.

Will any of you mainland Europe folks be attending UK Games Expo in Birmingham, UK? It's the first weekend in June.
Second part of this question:
We're thinking about sending me to UK Games Expo for Pathfinder Society-related stuff, including the recruitment of European Regional Coordinators. Would any of you not previously planning to attend, come to the show knowing I'd be there to play/run Pathfinder Society and recruit for European Regional Coordinators?

I'm eager to hear what you say.
Due to the nature of my stay here in Europe (as part of a National Guard tour in Kosovo), I won't be able to attend, but if I had the choice to do so, I definitely would show up if I knew you were heading that way.

I would love the opportunity but it is not possible for me at the moment. Generally I find Britain more trouble to visit than Germany or the Netherlands.
Will you visit Denmark any time soon?

Although the idea is intriguing, I probably won't. Mostly for the reasons the grandfather gave. Another reason is that visiting the UK is expensive. A lot more so than visiting Germany, Belgium, France or Denmark.
What happened to the Finnish contingent? I haven't seen them posting around here for some time.
They chose to play something else last October or so.
Yeah. We never really got the play numbers for the campaign to become self-sustaining the way our Living Greyhawk community was, and it sorta petered off. A bunch of reasons for this - limited places to host the games, too few active GMs and problems splitting their gaming time between home campaigns and PFS, and we kept running out of modules to run.
If it's any consolation, that "something else" was Pathfinder adventure paths.

That's terrible news for me -- I'm moving to Helsinki soon, and I was dreaming of trying out Society play (as I'm kind of leaving my current groups behind). Ouch. Hmmm, maybe I'll have consider GMing Society scenarios myself...

Well, the people are still there. If someone else were to come along and be willing to work for the campaign, it could still be rekindled.
It'd probably be easier now, since there's a large, unplayed backlog of modules and you wouldn't immediately run out of stuff to play and run. Here's the website with the contact information, characters and all that stuff: Pathfinder Society Finland

Hello,
We are a new group in Paris.
We've organized the Pathfinder society week end when you went to Lyon to met BBE crew.
The Ligue Ludique will continue to create Event for Pathfinder so let us know if you want us as coordinator for Paris or France area.

You will find some pictures of the last event of the Ligue Ludique on the website of the french distributor : Black Book Edition
It will be interesting to see how the Regional Co-ordinator thing works in Europe where the gaming culture is much less centered around gaming stores, and more on playing in homes, small regional gamedays, mini-conventions etc.
