Is anyone running any PFS events at Con on the Cob in Akron Ohio in early October. This looks like a con on the rise. I'm thinking about going and would love to play some PFS events to counterbalance the Living Forgotten Realms games that I'll likely also be playing.

CON ON THE COB?

Who came up with that bloody name? Geez. It almost makes me ashamed to say I was born and raised in northern Ohio...Con on the Cob. Ugh.

This is way after the fact, but it was a nice local event. I missed all the gaming events this year but I plan on attending any future events that come up.

Yeah the name is 'corny', but I don't think a convention for gamers shames Northern Ohioains. The crime rate, however, might.

Yeah, I had a blast at Con on the Cob. I played mostly LFR, but snuck away to play one game of Dread. I will almost definitely be making the trip back to Hudson, OH for Ancon in May (at the very same hotel). I'm hopeful that PFS will be better supported there.

As for crime, I don't know any specifics, but Hudson struck me as a very nice, upscale suburb of Cleveland and Akron, with little danger around teh hotel, and probably even less downtown.

Chad

Oops, I was hinting at Cleveland, obviously I did a poor job at that. Hudson, on the other hand, is a very nice area.

You're probably right, though I haven't spent any time in Cleveland proper to know for sure.

Hello everyone!!!!

I am happy to anounce that we have talked with the game coordinator for Con on the cob and he's loving the idea of offering PFS at this years Convention! Infact he's loving it so much that he's encourged me to offer some games at AnCon a slightly smaller convention at the same location in May. I'll be getting him a list of games and i exspect that he will have them on the web site by Monday March 15th! Check it out at http://www.warhorn.org/AnCon2010/ and I also encourge you to check out the general AnCon website www.anothergamecon.com.

I'll also be in need of a few good DM's as well... and would love to get some local talent ... e-mail me at OhioDragonSlayers@gmail.com if you would like more information or would like to GM at ither event!@!!!

Sweet. I had already signed up to play pretty much all LFR at AnCon, but will drop some slots of it to pick up PFS instead. Come Con on the Cob, I'll play even more PFS.
