I am looking for people in the state of KY, preferrably close to Somerset, Lexington, or Louisville who might be interested in playing (or better yet running) some Pathfinder Society events. Feel free to respond here or e-mail me at copatt75@yahoo.com

Chad

hi man I am close to somerset...well kinda like an hour away but ya know kinda close.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Hey, I just joined your Pathfinder Group via Yahoo. Where are you located? Do you guys actually have a big enough group to game? What are you playing at present?

Were you or any of your group at Gen Con? If not, I'd be willing to run the first four scenarios. I was able to play in all of them there.

Chad

My RL group is small 5 people and I don't know many others really. speaking of the yahoo group I need to update it.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Five is a good sized group. The group I play with in Louisville is a little larger, as is the group that I occassionally visit in Toledo, but one is far away and the other is oft distracted by alcohol.

Which city are you in by the way?

Chad

Kentucky Pathfinders... now that just sounds cool.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

It does sound cool. Are you from/in KY Lylo?

Chad

humm maybe we should start a kentucky pathfinder group

Nah, delaware... Delaware Pathfinders just doesn't have the same ring to it.

kinda funny I live within 15 miles of where thomas walker first stopped in kentucky and made his cabin,In many ways kentuckys first pathfinder.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

I agree, we should definitely start a Kentucky Pathfinder group. Like I said, I would be willing to run the first four scenarios since I was able to play them at Gen Con. I would be loathe to run any that I had not first played, but if that's what we have to do to get things up and running, well, I could sacrifice.

As for Delaware pathfinders, yeah, it lacks teh same ring. Is there some iconic feature of Delaware that you could use instead? If you were in Vermont, Green Mountain Pathfinders would be awesome.

Chad

Would be a good ideal to see if folks could be hunted up. You know there arnt much in the way of gamestores that i know of.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

True enough on the gamestores. I have two to five people here in Somerset that could potentially be convinced to play. I would be willing to host at my house, but I'm sure we could probably use the local comic shop as well.

Chad

I didn't know somerset had a comic shop so thats cool news too. The store in the middleboro mall is a maybe too but last time i was there there RPG stuff was well not much

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Yeah, Somerset has Collector's Comics, which is primarily that, a comics shop. They do have some gaming stuff, mosty old 3.X stuff that I already have. They also tend to get the new 4E stuff, but I mostly buy from a store in Toledo- I lived there for five years, am good friends with the guys that work there, and get a sweet discount (and free shipping).

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Middlesboro eh, that's not a direction I drive very often. Yahoo Maps shows it as being 88 miles, but almost 2 hours from here. Not an easy jaunt, but one I would be willing to make periodically to make Kentucky Pathfinders succeed.

Chad

Humm have to find that place. Only place I know of is Books A Million in corbin. Love to try PFS but lack a place and such.

eh middleboro and somerset are about the same milage from me. I live close to barboursville.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Even better. Barboursville is actually closer to me than is Middlesboro. A friend from college actually grew up there. Like I said, I am willing to host a game, even out of my home. I'll also order the first four events and run the. You just have to dig up the players, or at least most of them.

Chad

i'll keep that in mind man. will see who or what all I can hunt up. It be nice if we could round up a few groups.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

I think two groups between us would not be unreasonable, plus I could probably rope in some of my friends in Louisville for a third group. The more the better because it creates more DMs, and in the long run, I would much rather play than DM.

well igot maybe 1 player that would go for this my others dont wanna jump eds. we been useing alpha and they dont wanna jump back and 4th. but still its a place to start.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Alpha? Do you mean the Alpha playtest rules? Cool. I just picked up the Beta at Gen Con. You need to sell them on the Pathfinder Society, regardless of edition. Still, me plus you and your one make for a start. I think I could dig up enough to round out a table.

yeah the alpha. but yeah 3 is a start right.I'll see what i can round up see if i can get some intrest going.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Cool, you can always track me down here or at copatt75@yahoo.com

cool man i use the same as my postname on yahoo. gonna check the yahoo group. good as place as any to start.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

I haven't signed up with the society yet, but I live in Lexington and I'm a huge Pathfinder fan. Somerset seems awfully far away, though. How long does it take to play through one of these modules? If I only had to commit for a day or two on three or four separate occasions I could probably swing it.

If you want to email me, my address is my full name (with no spaces or anything) at yahoo.

And I agree..."Kentucky Pathfinders" sounds cool.

yeah understand you on the long trip lex is a 2 hour trip north for me. STill might be nice to have a place online to gather up folks anyhow.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

True, but Lex is only an hour or so north of Somerset, which is making my quaint little town look like a good place for us to meet...and of course, an online site for Kentucky Pathfinders will be a plus in and of itself.

Chad

we could start a yahoo group for that see if we get any takers and yeah somerset be a good bet kinda mid way in alot of ways north east and west

It does sound like a cool name. I've been meaning to join the Pathfinder Society but haven't gotten around to it yet. I might be able to swing some Pathfiner games.

(RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32)

Cool, cool, cool. I'll review my call schedule with my office manager and try to get some possible dates out sometime next week. In all likelihood, it'll be sometime in late September or early October. I'd like to run between 2 and 4 of the scenarios that ran at Gen Con. I was able to play in them there, and would like to give you all an opportunity to do so now.

Chad

oct sounds good to me let me see what I can round up maybe get another yahoo group a going just finding the players is the hard part. Every thing after that is just arrangment.
