What is the base setting for Pathfinder? RSS

Is the Pathfinder Chronicles: Campaign Setting the setting for Pathfinder Society? If it isn't, what is the campaign setting booklet named that sets the president for Pathfinder Society?

Yes, Pathfinder Society is set in the Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting. Any book in the Pathfinder line (except the Core Rulebook and Bestiary) are also assumed to take place in the same setting. For player-friendly information on the world, you want to get the Gazetteer, while the Campaign Setting hardcover will give you more detailed information.

I haven't heard of the Gazetteer, I was thinking of getting the Chronicles campaign book. I just wish to know more about the setting of Pathfinder Society. Thanks for your information.
