This has probably been asked before, but I can't find it when I search.

I am playing a wizard with no UMD. Can I buy a Wand of CLW and then ask the Cleric to use it on me when I need healed?

That is completely fine. You can buy an item and loan it to another PC for the length of the scenario. At the end of the scenario you get it back (minus the charges used). The next scenario you play you can loan it to the same cleric, or anyone who can use it. You just can't buy an item for another PC and give it to him or her. You also can't make a group purchase and let any PC keep it past the end of the scenario.
