I was wanting to check and see how the system for the participating retailers, who are allowing us to run Pathfinder Society games in there shops, is coming. Things like FREE adventures (always use all caps when denoting the non cost of an item) for them to run in those shops. Is it already operating and I need to point my local store owner to it or still in the works?

The idea of giving away free scenarios is still waiting on a store locater and, honestly, on me having the time to see it through. If we're able to see it through to fruition, it'll be season 1 or later. It's not off the table--it's just a plan I had when there were two of us doing this and now there's one. :-)

Joshua,

Any new information on this, I'm trying to help my game store get more involved with Pathfinder.

Have your store contact me and I'll get them set up with two free scenarios and some posters to promote PFS. That's what I can do for them for now.

Josh, our FLGS is Asgard Games in Houston, TX. I sent them an email asking them to contact you about our monthly Society games. They have set aside a table in a backroom just for us to run our weekly Adventure Path, Module , and Society games. The last Sunday of every month since March 2009 has been the Society Game Day.

Awesome! As soon as I hear from them I'll get some posters in the mail to them.

Joshua,

Great, I'll work with my game store, Olde World Games (OWG) in Vacaville, CA, and get that set up. OWG is really bending over backwards for us in that they have a private game room in the back that they normally charge for access to, but they are letting us have access to it for free. Also they are setting up some tech so we can have a SKYPE player join in the fun. On Friday November 13th we are going to try and have a player join by SKYPE from Louisiana. If this SKYPE thing works out I could even post to the message boards, "Looking for a SKYPE player" and have Pathfinder players from around the US (and I guess world if the connection is good enough) join in the fun.

I'll be in touch,

Scott Johnson.

FYI since I brought it up, We actually use Skype, TokBox or G-mail Video Chat depending which is better. Everything is free and the only requirements are that you have a webcam. I have a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 on our end so the video and sound on the players end should be very good. If audio is bad on our end I can call your phone by SKYPE, which has produced the best audio in tests, as long as you have a speaker phone or a headset for your phone and more than one phone in case the battery runs low. Also I will test SKYPE out with the player before hand to ensure everything runs smoothly at game time. Their have been some bugs, but when it works it works pretty good. We even have a SKYPE monkey (like an initiative monekey) who will adjust the video cam on request so the SKYPE player can get a better look at the mat and minis, or players, etc.

Scott.
