Congratulations to our new Campaign Coordinator! I'm going to miss you around these parts (and our home campaigns), but this position is meant for you. I look forward to the direction PFS will take with you at the helm!
/I can say I'm the only one who's killed a PFS character of Mike's.
//I know this will come back to haunt me.

Congratulations Mike, I think Paizo has made a very smart move. You have earned this position. The Atlanta region sets the standard for organized play management. Best wishes for you in Seattle.
John Compton aka Caepio Alazario(Venture-Lieutenant, Georgia—Lawrenceville)
Congratulations, Mike! Given everything you've done for PFS in the Southeast, I cannot think of a person better qualified for the position.
Ryan Bolduan aka MisterSlanky(Venture-Captain, Minnesota—Minneapolis & St. Paul)
A hearty congratulations to Mike from Minneapolis/St. Paul as well. Mike's efforts down in Atlanta are beyond approach, and I can't wait to work with him with Pathfinder Society. Today is a very mixed bag. Paizo just gained a spectacular staff member, but Atlanta lost a tremendous resource (soon to be replaced by other tremendous resources I'm sure).
Ah-ha! So Hogwarts appoints yet another Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher...
Err, let's try that again: That is to say that Paizo has found another Sacrificial Victim to feed to Dread Cthulhu at the Annual GenCon Summon-Q...
(Hmm. Actually, I think the first time round it sounded better. Oh never mind.)
Seriously, congratulations though, and we'll all have to see if you last much longer than 12 months... ;)
I think 'congratulations' is the right thing to say, anyway.
"Any last requests?" also seems appropriate too. :p
I know you'll do great.
Michael Brock(Pathfinder Society Campaign Coordinator)
Thanks for all the well wishes. I'm looking forward to arriving in Seattle and start working in the next couple of weeks. Once I am in place, I plan to let all of you in on some of my goals for PFS.
Until then, here's hoping for the best. It is going to be a heck of a drive from Atlanta to Seattle!

As one of those fortunate enough to have gamed with and worked with Mike here in Atlanta, I can whole heartedly say that this will lead to good things for PFS play.
/Though I am losing my home game
//Lisa must not have read those emails I sent... ;)
///And good luck to Mike with his new hometown team the Seahawks
////I am going to lose my character tonight because of that...
Congratulations! It was great playing with you at GenCon. I'm sure you'll do a phenomenal job (and now you're guaranteed to roll a natural 20 on your next attack roll ^_^).

LOL!
SO who is going to step up and be the Atlanta VC now?
Grrr......just cause the running gag is "Who's gonna win? Ain't the Saints!" doesn't mean you have to pick on my team.....
*pelts with d4s*
I'm a Falcons' season ticket holder. You, sir, are dead to me. :) I hope you have 16 PPs.
24, now. Unless you plan on changing it back? This a hint?
By the way, congratulations.

You are correct sir. It should have read 24 PP or 16 PP and 2760 GP. With all the packing I have to do and the drive 3000 miles across country, I won't be addressing rules issues until I get to my office in Seattle. Please be patient as I make the huge adjustment. There will be plenty of time to talk rules in a few weeks.
To confirm what Mark said HERE, it was an intentional change to bring a rule more in line with what is in the Core Rulebook.
Congratulation Mike! I’m sad to lose you in the Atlanta region, and as my home game GM, but I know PFS will be gaining a valuable asset. I know PFS is in good hands now. Looking forward to you using the magic you did in Atlanta on PFS in general!
Major congrats, Mike. Like others have said, I can't think of anyone better for the job, or more deserving. As Seattle's VC, I particularly look forward to working with you :)
Mike, first thing you need to do once you get your email at Paizo is to put all emails from me to Auto-Delete...;)
That's handled by the email routing server before they even get to any Paizo employees' computers.

Congratulations Mike on your new role -- I have been consistently amazed by the quantity and consistently impressed by the quality of the work you (and the many people you've recruited) have been doing for PFS in the Atlanta area.
It always warms my heart to see people who love and appreciate organized play make the move to achieve full-time success in the RPG industry (and Paizo's obviously got some of the very best in folks like Erik and Jason!)
Jonathan Cary aka Thorkull(Venture-Captain, Texas—Dallas & Ft. Worth)
Just wanted to chime in and congratulate Mike on the new position. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for the campaign!
Michael Brock(Pathfinder Society Campaign Coordinator)
Thanks again all. Now, I just need to find some places local I can get my last 26 games GMed so I can earn my 4th star :)

Bah, you can just give yourself a fifth or sixth star in a few weeks. Oh, wait, you're probably going to change things again, aren't you...

I don't want to give too many specifics away but I am looking to revamp the DM star system to give better rewards. More to come later after I arrive in Seattle.
Also, I want to earn my stars, not just assign them for free because I can. So, I will be DMing those final 26 games to earn my 4th star like everyone else has to. Same with the 5th star. I will earn it just like everyone else has to. Afterall, it would be difficult for me to adjudicate the process if I haven't gone through it myself.
As for changing things, the one thing I want to try to avoid if at all possible is shaking up the campaign too much. I will make sure to clarify some rulings and the like. But campaign shake ups should be reserved for the start of new seasons. With that said, there are a few things I want to look at doing, like the aforementioned revamping of the DM Star System. Don't worry, the games needed for each star will remain the same, but I am going to work closely with Mark to add some DM rewards if at all possible. As I said, more to follow later. With that said, I do have a list of things that are being evaluated on the Venture Captain forum.
Please be patient and try not to speculate too much. Let me get to Seattle. Once there, I will be open as possible about the future of PFS.
