I have poured a significant portion of the last year into making today happen. Watching everyone sign up and reading all of the threads that have popped up in the last few hours has filled me with pride. Pride because you all get it. You just get it. Here's to many happy and adventurous years hanging with friends, exploring Golarion, and beating the pants off the other guys.

None of this could've been possible without the help from the following people:

Lisa, for allowing me to run with this crazy idea I had about how Paizo could do OP AND for her stories about this period in the RPGA's history.

Erik, for filling my brain with countless panic attacks about what could go wrong by telling me everything that ever went wrong in the RPGA--as well as his feedback and guidance whenever something just didn't make sense.

Jason, for much the same reasons as Erik, but more specifically for laughing whenever I suggested something he'd seen break OP in his many, many years in the RPGA. When Jason laughs, Josh listens.

James Jacobs, for a crash course in publishing.

Drew, for a crash course in the design process and for putting together the best damn $4 product you will ever see in our hobby.

James Davis, for always putting together the best damn free products you will ever see in our hobby. (Not too mention a bunch of help this last week in just getting this all done.)

Sarah, for putting together the faction symbols--damn they look nice next to everyone's names.

Gary, for many mornings when I got in and he was already here pounding away at the code that made today possible. Gary is the man.

Nick, for many things: getting my vision of this thing the first time I pitched it to him, helping us launch the whole thing, wrangling our first authors (all twelve of them ... and counting) and getting their stuff in on time, his bloody excitement (it's intoxicating and refreshing), and co-authoring the guide book with me. Enjoy Hawaii, dude, because I'm going to work you hard next week. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

And everyone else at Paizo who may not get OP, but understand its value and have all been helpful or at least willing to smile and nod politely as I ranted or rambled about one thing or another.

And thanks to all of you, the first Pathfinders in the Society. May we explore the world together.

-Josh

Thank YOU! The guide looks great :-)

Everything looks fabulous - I can't wait to run these scenarios next week. :)

Osirion (RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32)

Yeah, thank you guys. This looks really really cool.

I really wish I was going to GenCon.

Ah, well, I look forward to future opportunities to get involved.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

Thank YOU Paizo!!

Shadow Lodge (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion Subscriber)

Thank you, Josh! Thank you, Paizo! Ya'll are awesome.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

You're Welcome and Thank You!

Osirion (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber; GameMastery Superscriber)

This sounds awesome!

I've got to go on holiday for two weeks, today, so I haven't time to peruse all the links, then I've got my wedding on 30.8.08, so I may be out of the loop for a bit.

I've also started AOW, which should keep me busy, but I'll see if I can get a few home games in, to do my bit.

Good luck to all!

Qadira (Paizo Superscriber, Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber)

Well, thank you for the compliment. I am glad you guys are here for us too. Treating people decently and caring about their feelings goes a long way. I might also add that offering superior products to what is out there doesn't hurt either.

Again, thank you
Zuxius

It's getting redundant, but thank you for all you do.

Thanks to you guys!

They sure do! Thanks a lot! :-)

Joshua, and all, thanks yet again for masterful work!

No Thankyou Paizo.

This looks awesome. I was eagerly anticipating this all night, it was hard to concentrate on the PRPG Red Hand of Doom I was running.

And it didnt disappoint. I am now excited to play my first Taldan Gnomish Bard and get back to OP after a years hiatus after my LG group broke up after Gen con 2007.

Thanks to all of the Paizo staff... I travel for a living so a home game is out of the question, as my schedule is fluid. OP games are best for me and since 4th ED wasn't my cup o' tea this is awesome.

NOW, do not let the naysayers and whinners get you down... You can't please everybody so do not try.

Again, thanks and I can't wait for the first mod.

Josh,

You also deserve a lot of thanks. For spearheading this entire project, and putting up with many emails about PFS from people, like myself, trying to get an idea of what we are aiming for in the Events and what not.

So take a few moments and pat yourself on the back and crack open a drink or six and enjoy what you have spawned.

(RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32, 2010 Top 8)

Josh,

Thank you and Nick and Lisa and Everyone. I've never bothered with Organized Play. I, and my players, are excited to be in on the ground floot.

Now I just need to work up the courage to hold games at Ravenstone or the Guardtower.

(That and get a neat GM icon beside my name :P)

Josh (and Paizo, by extension),

Whatever great things you feel we've done (or will do), they are things you have earned. In particular, you've earned my respect, because

  • You've shown you care about both the quality of your product and the bottom line.
  • You listen to your customers, but make no apologies when applyling the considerable design and publishing experience resident in the company (i.e., if you know better, you don't say you're sorry for doing something differently).
  • You maintain a playful, engaging attitude, even when things must be very stressful or busy in the office.

Please keep up the great work. Here's to many more years of unvarnished success for the Paizo Team!

Well said. I couldn't agree more. Keep the faith, Paizo.

No, thanks to you and everyone at Paizo! Another fantastic job.

Osirion (RPG Superstar 2009 Top 32)

Thanks Josh (and Nick).
Make sure you get down here to Australia for some PFS action soon. =)

I would also like to thank all the people at paizo for their work.

I don't get it?.....;-)

Thanks guys for your great work you guys put into this!

Osirion (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Companion Subscriber)

The guide looks great! I love the card we get too.

I am going to send it to our FLGS events coordinator, though she might have already signed up...

Andoran (RPG Superstar 2008 Top 32, 2011 Top 16)

Josh,

Thanks for the thanks, but as everyone else has said, the thanks really go to you for giving us another great Paizo experience. Keep getting them out the door and we'll keep getting it, getting them, and keep having a blast doing so.

Josh!

You rocketh! Working with you on this has been a brilliant and wonderful experience. I'm glad I got to pitch in.

I relish the madness and sheer velocity of life that will happen next week! We'll be there side by side my man, watching your baby be born daily with nearly 200 players in attendance each slot.

Congratulations on this magnificent achievement.

Sadly, much of my time in Hawai'i has been spent in front of my laptop writing Scenario #5 and wrangling the others, but the wife and I did sneak up Tantalus for a great hike today. The mountain is like another world.

I'm ready to tackle Gencon now! LET MORTAL KOMBAT BEGIN!!!

Qadira (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Companion Subscriber)

One more Thank You to all involved this looks really cool.

You guys deserve HUGE kudos.

When I actually sat down and read the complex nature of how you envisioned and executed what could have been a "typical" role-playing society I was stunned.

Never in a million years did I expect it to be this good (and I expected it to be damn good).

Hats off to you guys.
Thanks for creating this amazing world.
But I imagine your crunch time still isn't over. You still have to survive Gencon, and we'll be there for you. The energy here on the boards is palatable, and I'm sure it will be the same in Indianapolis. I hope it helps carry you through to next week, when you might get a chance to relax and take it all in.
