I really liked the table for the manticore that indicated what kind of offspring you get if it breeds with other lion based monsters, but wondered why the griffon wasn't on the list. I would assume that you'd get a griffon with a spiked tail and spikes special attack, similar to the Lamia, Sphinx, and Chimera, but maybe it was excluded for a reason and they just can't breed?

I'm certain it was just excluded for space concerns.
Supposedly it was a griffin/horse cross that made the first hippogriff, so there's no reasonable reason why a griffin/manticore cross shouldn't work, or, for that matter, a manticore/human cross, since manticores are already part human anyway, and a bipedal manticore person would certainly be entertaining as a monstrous humanoid.

Go on.
Explain how manticore/human cross would happen...
Go on.
Dare ya!

Well, let's see:
rape
charm spells
prostitution
extreme intoxication
illusions
kink
transformation
a mutually consensual loving relationship between two individuals who do not care what the other looks like apart from them being the opposite gender
For all the business about all the half-humans and partial humans coming about via mad wizards, I think more are the progeny of horny sailors. I mean, honestly, a sailor lusting after a mermaid, or even marrying one, is considered normal and even culturally acceptable. If he then starts dating a lamia, what exactly is the difference? Half fish is somehow less squicky than half lion? At least the lion part is still mammalian. And if he then moves on from the lamia to a sphynx? Still got the human female head and breasts. Then what about the manticore? Still have the human face. They can talk and kiss and if it's all loving and consensual, what's the harm?
Then he skips to the griffin. No! Ew! Kinky! Kinky! When you say you want tail, you're not supposed to mean lion tail! Even if your last three girlfriends had lion tails, that's no excuse!
Anyway, that's where little half-manticores come from.
Now you know.

Well, when a manticore loves a human very much, they hug, and then a baby comes later.
