We have a rules question in our game about the protection from evil aspect of this spell. Here is the situation.....
There are three demons that each have a mass hold person spell like ability. There is currently a magic circle up around the group. Demon 1 cast his spell and effected about half of us. Round 2, demon 2 cast the mass hold. Our question is, if you make your save on round to to break the hold person, are you now immune to any further attempts from just demon 1 or from all the other demons as well? I have highlighted the wording relevant to this question.

PRD description of Protection from Evil portion:
Second, the subject immediately receives another saving throw (if one was allowed to begin with) against any spells or effects that possess or exercise mental control over the creature (including enchantment [charm] effects and enchantment [compulsion] effects). This saving throw is made with a +2 morale bonus, using the same DC as the original effect. If successful, such effects are suppressed for the duration of this spell. The effects resume when the duration of this spell expires. While under the effects of this spell, the target is immune to any new attempts to possess or exercise mental control over the target. This spell does not expel a controlling life force (such as a ghost or spellcaster using magic jar), but it does prevent them from controlling the target. This second effect only functions against spells and effects created by evil creatures or objects, subject to GM discretion.
As the Magic Circle is already in effect when the demons attempt the compulsion effect, you roll your saves (with a +2 resistance bonus) to negate the effect as normal. If you fail your saves, the Hold Person does not affect you until the duration of the Magic Circle ends, at which point, if there is any Hold Person duration remaining (doubtful, but possible), you are then immobilized. Additionally, with Hold Person you get a new save every round to negate (each time with a +2 resistance bonus from the Circle). So it is essentially worthless against Protected/Magic Circled foes (alignment appropriate, that is).
You are not immune to additional demon attempts to use Hold Person on you. You still need to save against the effect each time it is used on you. What you are immune to is the immobilization effect of the spell on a failed save until the duration of your Protection/Magic Circle ends.
Pray that the demons waste actions doing this to your party, as it is extremely unlikely (but not impossible) to have any effect.

As I understand it, in your example, the first demon should never have been able to effect you in the first place, since you already had the magic circle up. The section you have bolded implies to me that while you are under the protection, you are immune to any such attempts, not just a second attempt at it, so as long as you are within the circle, none of the demons shoud effect you with any attempt to possess or exercise mental control over you.
