I wish to know a thing: evil summoned creatures can't enter in a magic circle against evil, but what about an evil extraplanar devil outsider ?

As long as it is not there by something with the [summoning] descriptor, it is not hedged out. The other effects stand.

If it is summoned (summon monster spells), then it is affected.

If it is called (binding spells, gate), it is not affected.

Thanks, so a summon devils is afected after that !

One more question, if the summoned creature can't enter in a magic circle but if it is against a wall and has no means of escape and if the cleric continues to progress, what's going on?

You can't "push" with magic circle or protection from evil or the "bubble" pops.

Just to be clear about the summon thing:
Summon monster II to summon a lemure =hedged out by P from E/circle
Planar ally etc...=not hedged out, but other effects stand.

YOu're right, but if the creature can't enter in the magic circle, if the cleric move to the creature, at a moment there is no way for the creature, so ???

As long as they're not forcing the area of effect on the creature it's fine. Your outsider may end up cornered if it's unlucky or stupid, but many demons and devils can teleport at will, so it's less of an issue.

What happens if a caster tries to summon a creature (perhaps unknowingly) into an area that is protected by a magic circle? This is assuming that the summoned creature is one that would normally be kept at bay this particular magic circle.

Does the spell fail?

Does the summoned creature appear in the magic circle but is prevented from moving?

Do the rules simply fail to address this possibility? If so, what would be a reasonable outcome?

There is really no rule for it. In case such as these the GM has to make his own ruling

I would say it appears in the open available space since the spell only bans creatures from an area, but can't really stop the summoning spell.

PS:If the circle is focused inward I think a summoned creature can appear inside of it since a called creature can, but that would require extremely bad luck to be summoned directly into the spot that it can't escape from.

Any other insights on the above situation?

"Evil summoned creatures cannot enter the area"

I believe the creature can't be summoned into the area and appears in the closest square outside. If there is no legal space to summon the creature within range, the spell fails.
