If a spell reads 'target creature' and said creature is under the effect of a displacement spell, does the spell have a 50% chance of missing?
I assume the miss chance will be applied for rays and touch spells but for targeted spells as well?
Displacement has no effect on targetted spells such as slow, charm person or magic missile.
Only spells with an actual attack roll have the 50% miss chance.

There is not a miss chance for a targeted spelled in any situation, only for attack rolls. Either you can target someone or you can't.
I dont remember if displacement actually gives concealment or gives you the benefits of it, without giving you the actual status. You would actually have to have concealment to not be able to be targeted by a spell, otherwise you are targeted as normal

I do not think an official ruling on this has been made, bu tmy impression is that most players agrre displacement is not ACTUAL concealment even though it works LIKE concealment.
