IIRC you fall approximately 600 feet in the first round and 2000 feet by the end of the second round.
And falling 600 feet onto a flying horse's back isn't going to do any less damage than falling 600 feet onto the ground, except that you'll hurt your flying horse, too.
Well the horse should have some give :)

As Zurai said, unless you have some way to slow yourself after falling 600 feet it does not really matter what ya hit.
Hmmm summon the horse above, have it dive down, match speeds, grab on and then spread wings? I wonder if there is a fly check for that.
