Hey all, I am still waiting for my book and the PRD does not have this info.
So now that Wall of Force and Forcecage have hardness 30 and attacks and spells can affect them, do effects like acid and sonic still ignore harness?
Do fire, cold and electricity do 1/4 to 1/2 damage?
What is the save modifier against area affect spells? Spellcaster's reflex save mod, although he/she is not holding the wall or controlling it directly?

As far as I know, acid and sonic attacks do not bypass hardness at all. Here's what I found in the PFRPG rules:
"Energy Attacks: Energy attacks deal half damage to most objects. Divide the damage by 2 before applying the object's hardness. Some energy types might be particularly effective against certain objects, subject to GM discretion. For example, fire might do full damage against parchment, cloth, and other objects that burn easily. Sonic might do full damage against glass and crystal objects."
"Full damage" doesn't mean "bypass hardness", it just means "not half damage".
Well if it's not a creature it's generally an object. If the Wall is tangible it's an object even if it is a spell effect. A Wall of Stone is an Object, a Wall of Thorns is an object, as is a Wall of Iron.

and what does adamantine do against a wall of force? Bypass its hardness?

Nope. It only bypasses hardness under twenty. Note that it's the wording here that is important. It doesn't subtract 20 from the hardness it simply ignores hardness under 20.
