If we're going to ask for weird things...
...I want an Alaspinian Minidrag. Stat them up as a 'Psuedocoutzl', size tiny, with acid spit and a limited form of telepathy that only senses surface emotions. ;)

On top of the prerequisite neutral dragons and templates request, I'd like to see more hags (with witch caster levels, mehopes) and fairy tale monsters (I want grigs, damnit).
While I'm sad that Beholders and Illithid are closed content, I'm really excited to see something fill that niche (meaning manipulative semi-lovecraftian monsters with bizarre powers). In some ways, it's a good thing, because it's a chance to see the new crazy monsters that will become iconic for pathfinder. The Akata and Pactmasters are a step in the right direction.
I also think there needs to be a variety of constructs that are more checkbook-friendly, like the Eberron homunculi, though not quite that crazy.
Sidenote: If gem dragons are closed content, could we see a celestial theme (sun, moon, star dragons) or a conceptual theme (time dragon, war dragon)?
I also don't think a couple of PC races are the worst thing in the world. There's nothing I hate more than playing a furry party in D&D, and I hate the 3.5 idea that everything is playable, but goblins and tengu give me hope for well-done races.
Also...more animal companions. I still don't see a giant turtle, large bear, or struthiomimus on the list.

Yeah, like the ones from the old 1e MMII.

And there's great flavor for this in Asian mythology and folklore: dragons associated with bamboo, sea caves, rivers, mountains, you name it.

So, in order to find the Giant invisible rabbit you have to make a Perception DC 20(invisible)-Size catagory(Giant is... er um which size catagory would Giant be under) but you still have a 50% chance to miss the entry in the Bestiary. Just be glad they did not add the dire template..."its got fangs like this!"~Monte Python

No, you just have to ask Elwood if you can borrow him ... or possibly be very, very drunk :)
Though if you get very, very drunk, be careful you don't sideslip into another film and start seeing Pink Elephants!

That's a good idea. I'm wary of dragons that are too asian-specific, but stuff like a river dragon, sea dragon, sky dragon, or cave dragon are probably perfect for neutral dragons.

This may sound a bit mundane but a two monster page: Whale, Baleen and Whale, Cachalot. I mean we got sharks and dolphins and squid and octopi but Moby Dick's Great White Whale gets left out? Here's hoping that changes.
Also Gallimimus, Rhamphorhynchus and Rhamphorhynchus swarms, Indricotheres, Mosasaur/Pliosaur, Ichthyosaur, Iguanadon, Archelon maybe, any other dinosaurs or other nifty extinct creatures that can be put in, giant Lobsters, more agathions, more archons, more devils, some daemons, some demons, more inevitables, more formians, hellcat (unless it was printed up elsewhere) and plenty of templates. Neutral dragons are also a great idea. I know it was new in 3.5 but Phasm is an interesting monster that could be quite cool if done right (something I think Paizo would be up to).

I'm glad to see there are plans for a Bestiary 2 I loved the artwork in the Bestiary One. I just got my copy yesterday. The artwork is one of the things that I love about Paizo. All of the products I've gotten have great artwork.
As for me I want dire badgers :) I'm a big fan of Celtic settings maybe the fachan?

Themed monster packages, either as standalone works or as books. I'm not a big fan of the WOTC-style omnibus books with 100000 different random monsters, except as a single core guide or two. I'd rather see environment or myth or setting or type or otherwise theme guides, where I could pick up the Monster of the North book for when I'm running a Norse-themed game or a Monsters of the Wastes game for when I want to run something Arabic or Dark Sunny or whatever.
My group plays in the Eberron campaign setting, so I'd prefer that the monsters not get too region-specific. If everything was Golarion oriented, I probably wouldn't purchase it.
Also, the appendix of the bestiary has monsters listed by terrain type, which may be useful to anybody looking for some geographical flavor.
Truthfully, I'd like to see more conversions and workarounds for non-OGL monsters (cough...warforged...cough...changelings!)

There'll be a few, but not a lot of, templates in Bestiary 2. Probably about as many as there were in the first Bestiary.
Will they be more fleshed out? The templates in the Bestiary were a paragraph at most, other than the Half-'s. I'd prefer the templates be more like the half-dragon/-fiend/-celestial than the giant or young templates. A paragraph just isn't enough space. Also, some template specifics on application would be nice.
I suspect we're gonna try to do all the templates on two pages, so they'll have about as much flavor as the ghost, lich, or vampire.
I'd love it if you did something akin to Privateer Press' 'Quickplates' from Monsternomicon I and II. They take up very little space, are quick to apply and still manage to change the flavor of a creature significantly. [I felt reminded of them when reading the 'simple templates' you did in the Bestiary, actually. Was that intentional?]

Thank you!
My Bestiary finally arrived and I was bemoaning the lack of Annis - the hag entries look kinda odd without her - and I'd forgotten it was in the bonus bestiary.
I miss Nightshades. I hope they are in the next bestiary. The players always panic when I plonk my huge nightwalker "mini" onto the battlemat.

Maedar: As far as I know, this didn't even exist in WotC-published 3.5 material. Hopefully, it's open!
Phoelarch: Or something similar, at least. I always thought these guys were mostly awesome.
Redcap: This should be open, at least in name and concept if not in mechanics, but it's one of my favourite creatures of all time.
And really, any anthropomorphic animal. Those have always been important to games I play in/DM.

Redcaps are from mythology; we statted them up in Pathfinder #4. There'll be more redcaps in Pathfinder #29.

Officially? Nothing. In your home campaign? You can still use beholders and mind flayers.
Into the Darklands might be of interest to you, actually; it has a lot of information about races that could well serve as stand-ins for mind flayers. Serpentfolk, seugathi, neothelids, and intellect devourers all come to mind. In fact, I think the intellect devourer is a GREAT "stand-in" for the mind flayer niche—they're about the same CR, both eat brains, are psionic, and their names sorta even mean the same thing.
We don't plan on specifically replacing any of these monsters with Pathfinder clones, though. That's tacky.

Oh, I wanted to request Spriggans too! I'm pretty sure they're also mythological and should be fine, but I wanted to go ahead and show support for them either way.
Are blink dogs property of Wizards of the Coast? I'd really like to see an updated blink dog too if they aren't.

Spriggans are in the Tome of Horrors, and they already have a canonical role in Golarion. They'll be showing up in some adventures early next year.
Blink dogs are in the SRD; they're open content and are very likely to show up in Bestiary 2.

I'm stoked so many of my requests are showing up in Pathfinder products, but I wanted to clarify something: are the spriggans and redcaps that are showing up in adventures eventually going to make it into one of the bestiaries too? My friends and I don't really use pre-written adventures in our gaming, as we prefer to play campaigns with story-archs that last for several actual out-of-game years. I realize the adventures feature little perks like the extra monsters, but I can't afford to keep up with buying a bunch of adventures I'll never run. I do, on the other hand, intend to purchase all the hardcover books, so it would be great to know that I won't miss out on some of my favourite monsters just because I'm not playing Golarion adventures. Thanks!

A poltergiest.
Something noisy, illusionary, with lots of telekinesis.
Something I always envisioned that you could add to a location invested with haunts, only the poltergiest could add a dynamic and adaptable element to the mayhem.

Actually, a poltergeist would be an awesome (primarily NPC only) template, going with a lot of the current paranormal 'theories' on the whole thing. Where the person triggering the event isn't even aware that they are the source. (And a cool mechanic allowing someone to rid the template victim of their condition.) That'd be a lot of fun! Good idea, Watcher.

Give yourself some credit Adam.. I've read enough paranormal stuff to know what you're talking about, but I hadn't considered that specific application of the idea.
That would be a kind of wild spin on it.. because it might seem like an undead manifestation, but actually be something more akin to a psychic phenomena.
So there Paizo! Two different ideas for you to consider!
