The quality and execution of this Character Sheet is only exceeded by the strong level of support provided by Richard and the other members of the TOS Forum. It is truly an amazing product... Not to mention great support for PbP games!

I love this product. and i use it very frequently.
it makes my gaming more easy and i can concentrate more on the game instead of calculating numbers.
The creator is looking for a person with a mac to create also a TOS version for MAC.
so contcat Richard if you like to help him with that!

Yes, THE ONLY SHEET rocks! The first real character sheet and if you are into paperless like I am (no more carrying 200 pounds of DnD stuff with me) it is the way to go.

My apologies - I was unable to locate a Mac near me to test on it... Mac Excel is not 100% compatible with Windows's Excel (at least, not for a complex workbook like TOS+). I'll renew my efforts to locate a way to try on a Mac so I can support both systems.

Currently, only the DEMO of v2.0 is online (I'll be adding a DEMO for v3.0 soon). Note that v3.0 is similar in looks, but supports The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. TOS+ is not about flashy graphics and dazzling colors... it is about integration, so that people can leave the math to it and enjoy the game - including the application of complex effect to a Character in real-time (Haste for instance...)
But of course, you can use it as well on Paper... My 'laptop-less' friends use it on paper...

Adding yet another glowing recommendation for TOS+.
I use it on a laptop, and it has made gaming life so much easier, and neater! No more worrying about smudging sheets, not printing off the latest level, wondering just where all the numbers go on your sheet. You just choose your options, fill in your skills, feats and spells, and voila! All the minutia, all the number crunching is done for you!
TOS in its base form is fairly simple to use, and for the more advanced uses, the small but vocal community that has sprung up around it is more than willing to lend a hand.
I'm an avid fan of Richard's work, and TOS+ will be a part of my gaming life for as long as I have a computer, and play D&D/PF!

It's worth the money to purchase the full versions. So when you can, go for it. You are kind of limited with the demo version.
In case you do not have a laptop, you can print out your status page which includes everything in a nice clean order.
It is the best character sheet ever and I have played DnD for about 30 years.

You are correct: The primary usage of the Sheet is to create excellent (printed) output!! Because the majority do not use a Laptop during play, they can print the Front/Back worksheets, then add the Spell Planners, the Animal Companion/Familiar and even the Treasure worksheet as required!
The Sheet takes care of the computations, so you can focus on the Game - this is true with or without a Laptop!!

I am currently working on a small update (with bugfixes and such). Once I release this update to the Community, I'll work on making a 'v3.0' Demo for those who wish to see it up close, with CRB stuff.
I will make a post here once the v3.0 Demo is online.

Yes, Gestalts is easily done in TOS+.
You can see how in the Gestalt Creation video.
TOS+ features a LOT of customization ability. You can customize almost everything, and add effects as well. If you want a Wizard hat that gives you +2 to Perception, +1 to Will saves, +3 to Armor Class and Perception as a Class Skill, fine!! It can be done in the TOS+ .... and the stacking rules for the types you would decide to use for these bonuses would be applied automagically!
For a small example of using effects, try the Basic Effects #1 video :)

I love TOS+, recommend it to everyone as it is the most comprehensive, well supported piece of software out there for Pathfinder RPG. Nothing but positive things to say about it.

I totally agree!! But, I guess my opinion would be a bit biased... :P
On another subject, I have started adding stuff from the Bestiary.
Presently, the I added the 12 playable race from the Bestiary: Aasimar, Drow, Drow Noble, Duergar, Goblin, Hobgoblin, Kobold, Merfolk, Orc, Svirfneblin, Tengu, Tiefling
Once I add a few other items (like animal companions and monstrous feats), I will release another update to the Sheet...
Cheers!

What is OpenOffice missing? Or does this xls work in OpenOffice?
If you migrated it to OO it would work on Mac/Windows etc.
The last version of Excel at home I used was 4.3 (circa 1998) and then briefly Office 2000 at work until we switched to OpenOffice.
So I don't have access to Excel, and I suspect the vast majority of people don't have access to it.

I've tried everything and TOS is the way to go. It runs smoothly and works like a charm at the gaming table. I was really resistive to having my laptop at the game, but after trying it for two sessions, I don't think I'd ever go back to paper only.
If you haven't tried TOS, give the demo a try. It takes a little while to figure out how the worksheets interact, but be patient. It's easy to add custom items, classes, skills, feats, anything really. It helps if you have a little experience with spreadsheets, but with the help of the wiki and faq, you'll figure it out quickly enough.

TOS+ uses vba and macro that is not supported in Open Office. Also, Open Office does not support password protection, which would allow anyone to modify and take credit for all the work done by RiTz21. It's not likely that TOS+ will ever be made compatible to open office.

TOS+ does indeed have some of a learning curve, but there are tutorials available to help understand the basics of how it works.
I've been using TOS+ since it's release as 2.0 and even TOS (now known as TOS FREE) since near it's first public debut. The power that this spreadsheet gives the user is massive. It's flexibility is impressive. The support available through both the tutorials and forum community cannot be beat. With TOS+ now also following the Pathfinder Role Playing Game, it will only grow to be an even better tool not only in character generation, but in maintaining the character as well. To me it's most powerful feature is the LapTop worksheet that allows you to show real-time live changes to a character after the effect of a haste spell, fatigue, bull's strength, barbarian's rage, and all the time never letting you worry if you forgot a bonus/penalty somewhere or messed up on the math.
Bugs are quickly fixed once found, if not found during the beta process, and the new release to these fixes is quick to be made public. In my days I've tried several Character Gen tools, in both excel and other formats. None of them accomplish the support and efficient implementation of the rules, and support more than one Rule System, as well as TOS+

This is why I can not use this product. I am not about to spend US $150.00 (Office: Home and Student 2007) so I can run an RPG spreadsheet.
My office laptop has Excel, but I am retiring 12/31/2009 so I lose access to Excel, and my personal laptop only has Open Office on it which suits my needs.

I can't see any benefit to using Office over Openoffice (except for exceptions like this sheet.)
So I will do without I guess.

I'm not a One Sheet Customer, rather I'm a HeroLabs customer..
But I'm always on the look out for new products. Here is some feedback..
Despite what the Bestiary lists as playable races, some of the adventure paths add character levels to the most damnable races.
Runelords Example (Warning Spoilers):
In HeroLabs, by next weekend, I might be able to build those races and add character levels to them. Thus far, as much as I love HeroLab, I don't find it all that easy to use the Editor. But to be fair to HL, not all of the necesssary functionality has been added to it yet, but will be shortly.
Getting back to your specific product.. a selling point to me is monster races that often have character levels added to them, regardless of whatever the Bestiary says. Tengu and Lizardfolk are great monsters, but neither has ever appeared in the big AP I'm running, but plenty of other monsters have been. In fact, it's been 20+ real world years since I used a lizardman in anything.
I don't know what you or your competitors can actually do about that, because I can appreciate the reluctance to add the whole damn Bestiary.. but if some character builder would actually look at the AP's and see what races are really getting character levels, that would be awesome.
