So, the "Sorry You Won't Be At PaizoCon" Sale is in full swing (50% off all our PDFs), but now that health issues have sidelined me from PaizoCon, I find myself both bored, and free of the checks-and-balances the other Geniuses normally provide. (The painkillers help with that last one, too.)
And I aim to misbehave!
So, I'm announcing (early) that starting this August (at Gen Con), Super Genius Games is going to begin producing print books again. Our first print book will be Loot 4 Less: Things That Make You Go Boom, a 32-page compilation of material from the first three Loot 4 Less PDFs, with a foreword by Erik Mona himself!
While that first book is the only one we're announcing right now, we certainly plan to produce more print books to follow it. The big question we have is, which of our exiting PDFs do you, our friends, fans, and patrons, most want to see in print? We can look at which PDFs have been the most popular, and while that information isn't of a quality I'd call scientific, it is enough to let us make wild speculations about which of our products are the most popular. But it's based on the entirely untested theory that people most want to see print versions of the things they liked in PDF.
But what if that's not true? What if print customers have very different tastes? Or if the ability to bundle 2 or 3 PDFs together into a single tome changes the desire to see them? Of if the fact we update and expand everything we compile makes people much more interested in something they were "meh" on originally? In short, what do you really want to see in print? I'd like to know.
And I'm willing to bribe you to find out. (Because everyone who would normally stop me is busy at PaizoCon right now!)
All through June, anyone can vote in this thread. To vote, just post a link to an existing SGG PDF you'd like to see included in a 32-page print compilation. If you want to see 2 or 3 specific PDFs bundled together, let us know, but be sure you list the thing you most want to see first – that's your "vote." Whatever existing PDF product gets the most votes will be part of a print book before the end of 2012 (and maybe much sooner)! One vote per person, so pick what you most want to see.
And, everyone who votes also gets a free SGG PDF of their choice! After you post a link in this thread, just drop me a line at owen (dot) stephens (at) gmail (dot) com, and tell me what you voted for in this thread, and what PDF you'd like a copy of, for free!
And if you're not sure – why not buy a PDF and see if you'd like a print version? After all right now we're having our "Dang It, I Can't Go To PaizoCon" sale, so everything is 50% off!
Man...I have to pick one? thats tough. If I have to choose one, then it has to be The enforcer particularly in the hopes that it takes some anachronistic friends along for the ride in the print book.
Well, since I am currently loading up my cart with those "Sux to Miss PaizoCon" specials, I'm seeing quite a few "obvious choices" that should absolutely be complied and printed. I know, I can only vote for one, but I'm gonna throw out some suggestions that are NOT my final vote first.
Krazy Kragnar's Kompiled Katalogue - Yes, the First Goblin of Economical Mayhem should see print with all three products combined into a single book.
Archetypes - Could be two books, one for combat and one for caster.
Magic - Feats of Metamagic and Spellcasting are an obvious combination to me, as well.
However, the product compilation that gets my official "vote o' aweseomeness" is this:
I feel this is the deserving candidate because these products do not enhance the status quo, they present an entirely new approach, something that is always welcome. A print-run of Runic Might would also open up the possibility of adding more feats and items, answering the most common cry of "gimme moooooore!"
eta - ninja'd by Cheapy!! AND Frerezar!! That's what I get for having a head full of great ideas at WORK! ninja'd...
Since this thread is tangentially related to sales, is Loot4Less: Bell, Book, and Whistle really the best selling PDF? I would never have guessed that!
Another class book with all your new classes in this. Make sure this happens every 6 months so I can buy the big book all at once with all the erratta instead of the lil purchases which I'll still buy anyway as I'm impatient.
You could maybe get all the Advanced Options (and maybe Ultimate Options) into one 32-page print book. Or do Advanced Options: Spellcasters for the oracle, inquisitor and witch, then Advanced Options: Combatants for the cavalier, alchemist and summoner.
Just to keep the thread up there, Owen has already been so kind as to ship to me my pdf of choice. He's reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllyyyyyy bored I guess :) Thanks again Owen!

He sent mine two minutes after I sent the e-mail!
Took him about 5 minutes for mine. That is what I call either great customer service or extreme boredom! Either way I have no cause to complain of SGG's generosity.
I totally agree with Kolokotroni.
The Enforcer is my pick as well for the same reason. I hope by including it in a print book that we might see more Anachronistic Adventurers in print as well, matbe even a book fully dedicated to this theme alone. :)

I vote for this one also. I know I still owe you a review Stephen, sorry about that. I like it because it can fit in so many settings.
I'd say, the Godling and Mystic Godling in one book.

I'll second this! And if you add in some new powers and maybe tweak the Clever Godling a little, that would be great!

What can I say? I'm a sucker for monster books, so my vote goes to Mythic Menagerie: The Kingdom of Graves, followed closely by the entirety of the Mythic Menagerie line.

Agreed with Flash. He pre-empted what I wanted to chime in as well. I'm still stinging over P20 Modern last year (as I suspect Kolokotroni is too). So, if we can get companions for the Enforcer to get into a print bounded material for Anachronistic Adventurers, I'm all for it! :)
I'd definitely want to see the Archetype series collected into one awesome print book. Truly groundbreaking stuff. Arcane Archetypes is my favorite of the bunch, but all are awesome.

Wait, what? I missed this the first time. Erik Mona wrote a foreward for the Loot for Less print book?

Personally, I'd love to see the Time Thief in print, simply because it's such a flavourful class, one that lets you do such a variety of interesting and sometimes wacky things in an unusual way. Moreover, making such flavour available in dead-tree format will hook more people into SGG products, especially the types who are 'DTF snobs' (like I used to be).
Thanks for considering those of use who still prefer the dead-tree format Owen.
You're welcome! I'm a big fan of game books I can smell myself. (Wow... that came out wrong. I just mean I'm a tacticle, feel-and-smell-of-paper kinda guy. Hmmm, still coming out wrong...)
So we're only a couple days in, but some patterns are already emerging! I wanted to let everyone see where the voting is, both because I think clear trends sometimes encourage people who haven't voted to get in and have their voice heard, and because I don't want to wait until the end of June to count everything. :)
Krazy Kragnar got a nod, which I presume is a desire to see both his solo books (and yes, maybe combined with his Used Chariots, though those are likely to stick with other Loot 4 Less book in a compilation.)

A suggestion has been made we should put out a new compilation of all our new classes every few months.

A few people want to see the Archetype series collected into one print book, with particular love going to Arcane Archetypes, or combining them with similarly-themed feat or class books.
