Is it possible for a wizard to have a Pet Rock as his familiar?
What would the stats be for that?
It's probably the only familiar that can be hurled at an opponent.
Pet Rock, attack! (throws rock)
There are no rules for having a pet rock as your Wizard familiar. However, you could look at the mechanics for psicrystals
I'm with Viletta on this one ask to use a psicrystal

Where are the googly eyes?
There are no rules saying your psicrystal cannot have googly eyes.
or that it has to be a crystal, we're just saying them rules would port over easy to a wizard or sorcerer

The stats would be that of a bonded item. It sounds like a great RP idea.
I still have my pet rock, with package. Got it so young that I didn't get that it was a joke and actually tried the tricks, such as, place the rock on the floor. Tell it to STAY and then leave the room... when you come back it should still be there. I tried every trick in the book. Dummy.

So I don't blame you for falling for it.

Pet rock eh...
I'd also go with a MW slingstone that is carved like a balled up hamster.
"Go for the eyes Boo! Go for the eyes!"

Wait, wait, wait! Are we forgetting about Chia Pets?!
Could they possibly rival the Pet Rock as the best bonded item ever?

Pet Rock, attack! (throws rock) Try being on the receiving end of an attack sequence from a well-hurled and fully-trained battle weasel. That'll disrupt your spell-casting!

a well-hurled and fully-trained battle weasel I nominate this for the coveted "quote of the day" award
You can have a pet rock as a familiar if you play Kingdom of Loathing.
