Pathfinder Chronicles: Campaign Setting still viable?

I hope it's not a stupid question but is thePathfinder Chronicles: Campaign Setting still usable with the current edition of PFRP? I'm asking because I want to buy it yet don't want to invest in a product that maybe revised.

The vast majority of the book is fluff. It's information on the setting and not rules specific.

The rules that ARE in it however, feats, PrCs, etc are either fine to use or easily converted. In fact most of the stuff in it is legal in the Organized Play which uses the PFRPG rules.

Don't know how much will be updated, but the Pathfinder PrC is updated in the core rule book.

According to the PFS 2.0 Most of the Feat, 2 of the Prestige Classes(Low Templar and Shackles Pirate) and most of the Equipment are all legal for play so I am taking that as the Campaign Setting is still Viable.

I guess at this point I will wait and see. The book looked good and the setting interesting. Yet I rather not buy it and find out that Paizo will release an updated one.

They've said elsewhere they won't be releasing an updated one until they need to reprint (which means once all the old ones sell out) and they've still got plenty left.

Can someone give some clarity, to the notation of the fighter class (only) in the Campiagn book.

With the extra bonus modifer for skills at 1st level (if going to a guild/school for training), does it mean, is that feature is still applieable.

Besides what is stated (concerning fighters only) in the Pathfinder Core Book now?

Thanks.

I can clarify that to absolute clarity: Nothing has changed. Just like before, you should check with your GM on whether you can use this.

Personally, I'd allow it. I allowed it then and I will allow it in the future.

I put an order in for this book on Amazon over a week ago and it's estimated delivery time is October 13th. It said the book was available but why the wait? I'll get the Bestiary before this book arrives according to the pre-order. I wonder if it is due to a reprint or something.

If you want to play in Golarion, go buy it. It's a good book and there won't be an updated version for years (it's mostly fluff and what's crunch, can be converted with little or no trouble).

enjoy,
