Even if that's done in jest, it's still sounds far more interesting and exciting then anything I've seen in present Monster Manuals. I can't wait for the Pathfinder RPG...

Hunh. All the Golem's critical feats are tied specifically to its slam attack. That's new...

I think there is a minor error in the stat block : Domintate Monster has a lower DC than Daze (it should be DC 28 I think).

Did everyone notice that the Golem's special attacks have a DC formula of 10 + 1/2 x creature's HD + hability modifier ??

That's a good news because with Pathfinder you can use enhanced versions of low CR monsters and their special attacks remain dangerous (in 3.5, you had to boost their tied hability to an incredibly high level for the same effect).

The bad news is that the poor saves will have even more problems at higher levels.

Shatter the Earth would be difficult for a rogue (1/3 of success) but is an auto fail for a fighter in FP armor.

Bingo, yes. It just wasn't mentioned in the stat blocks.

I'm more curious (as Shisumo pointed out) about the critical feats - in the forum released beta most were not tied to specific weapons, only Powerful Critical was. Error or preview of what's to come? The public wants to know! :)

Or perhaps they could talk to it and gain some valuable information (if you set it up in a beliveable manner). Not every counter needs to start with "Hassan Chop!!!"

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's an error; I'll see if I can get Ross to fix that (I've already put him through so much with this blog!).

Cool - it's gone from Staggering and Stunning Critical, but not Critical Focus :) [which does *sound* like it should be "focused" on one weapon.]

I was just sort of thinking of adding the word "uber" in front of all its feats, skills, and powers. This doesn't actually change any of the game mechanics, but it sure makes it sound more impressive.

So we've seen The Future of Paizo videos and Lisa offered to answer any questions we had about where the company is going in that thread. But I wanna know, on this illustrious anniversary, where the company came from. I know bits and pieces, but I wanna hear from Lisa or Vic or someone else who was here at the beginning how and why Paizo came about and how it evolved into being what it is today. Where'd the name come from? Why a golem? Why purple? Why so much win?
