"Yes we do. Be careful, though."
Before we get there, I'll cast Protection from evil on Gittik. After all, the demon might be evil. ;P

"I shall what my prayers bring us. But Kelanen would approve of such a trophy. Yes I believe I can do this if you tell me which of the cardinals you want. Swords of Justice or Righteousness?"
I'll sort out spells tomorrow. Will take a few align weapons and whatever else I can get that's appropriate.

you guys are able to creep up to within about 50 yards again.
a-t top;
1-25 side.....
There's two of them now; about 15 feet up in the air, buzzing around.
one's at H1, and the other one's at N1. *GOIK*
There's trees at de3-4, mn4-5, fg7-8, pq7-8, jk9-10,
cd14-15, gh16-17, mn17-18, qr15-16, cd20-21, gh22-23, lm21-22, and pq21-22.
There's a creek, shallow, that runs from a-t 11-13 (funny how this is such a cubist world.....) ;)
The whole ground is covered in thick tropical underbrush and bushes; difficult terrain, but it's all very tall and easy to hide in.
You guys start about a b c 23-25; pick a spot and roll a stealth, and feel free to buff to your heart's content.

Fortunately, heavy underbrush doesn't bother me! While everyone else is creeping carefully, I'm pretty much just breezing through! To paraphrase a certain turtle,... "I LUV bein' a druid!" :)
Too tired to sort spells right now, can hardly read the screen! Will probably cast barkskin, prot/evil (If I have it), and Bears Endurance, ANd maybe Bulls Strength (if I have it) Guess we haven't had time to get my new shiny amulet yet huh? SOme flaming teeth would come in handy about now! ;P

Are we rested up/full spell level? If so Pip will find a spot near Oso and once combat is joined cast Haste
Stealth: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (6) + 19 = 25

Oso will cast fly on Gittik and magic circle versus evil on himself.

Right on; need a stealth for Oso, Elgan, and Altai......

Done spells and spent my last 825gold on scrolls. Will cast divine power on Oso, and three align weapon spells on Gittik's blades and Oso's Voidwand. The blades are good for the next 8 minutes.

Oso's creaky plate mail betrays your position.
Initiative; iffin you beat a 16 it's your attack.
Oh, and they're f#!#ing demons. Chaotic evil.
None of this "maybe they're a good demon th' way Drizz't is a good drow" crap. ;)

Party base initiative 11. Beldan beats them, then they go.

Go Beldan!
They's flat footed.

OK, everyone has Haste. Follow that with the old tried and true +2 atk/dam/charm/fear inspire greatness

Pip'll start rocking up some magic once the fly demons have their go; after Beldan of course......

Oso looks down at his creaky armour and shakes his head.
I'll post his actions after the demons have gone. Flatfooted AC22.

right on.
once again, Beldan's up to bat, then it's the fly people. Demons.

Beldan sneaks out to H24, hides, looking to set up a sneak attack. Stealth: 20+26 = 46

Stealth....46.....Beldan is so hidden HE thinks he is a bush.

I guess
Altai's at a25, Elgan's at b25, oso's at a23, and pip's at b23.

The fly demons come around a tree; they beeline it *goik* down row a towards Oso. One makes it to a17, while the other is behind him; at about B11.
An evil, dark look is in their eyes as they point their long dirklike noses straight at Oso. They grin, with manlike mouths that have numerous wriggling pinscers replacing their teeth.
They're about 10 feet up in the air like remote controlled airplanes, buzzzing with an eerie hum.

Magic missile on the lead demon. 5d4+5=19 points of damage.

SR check 13+9=22.

|
|

Spell Resistance checks for the two demons, 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22 and 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19. Oso casts prayer giving friends +1 luck bonus to attacks, weapon damage, saves and skills checks, the demons get -1 if Oso beats their SR.
"Your souls are dark my allies will show you how the light of Kelanen will burn you clean."

Popping that Haste I mentioned above, then segueing into Inspire Greatness (remember those +2 bonuses folks!)
"Hello ugly! Is that your face or did your neck throw up?"
Pip strums Lucille
"Shoo fly
Don't bother me
Shoo fly,
Don't bother me
Shoo fly,
Don't bother me
Or I'll carve yer ass
With lots of glee!"

The missiles penetrate their auras.
Oso casts on the first one; holy runes beam a light out to him and he is weakened; the other one shirks the holy power, perhaps he is that much more hearty, girded in his malevolence.
The droning in their wings whispers "Paaaaaaazooooooozoooooooo" as they buzz in for the attack.

The droning of insectile wings is penetrated by Pip's high speed flamenco flourishes, and the party feels generally fortified with the power of music, shattering the illusion of integrity with glittering guises, and endless compromises.

Looks like Gittik and Elgan are up to bat. Or swat.

The bark covered druid raises his arms, and chants a familiar sounding rhythm. A dark cloud swiftly gathers overhead.
"Les' see if'n dese unat'ral critters like deh tas'e o' good ol' fashin', all nat'ral light'nin! He chortles with glee, and points a finger at the closest bug-demon.
"Time tah swat deh flies!" And a lightning bolt comes crashing down,...

They shrug the lightning off without so much a scratch to their hoary chitin. They buzzbomb in for the attack without missing a beat.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"
Rage on, fly charge the fly in A17. I think I'm hidden, so he should be flat-footed against me. Anyhoo....
1d20 + 19 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 19 + 2 + 1 = 34, damage 1d3 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
Finish movement in B18. AC currently 20: -2 for charging, +1 for Haste.

Beldan should act before the fly-boys in round 2 … he’ll sneak out to E20 and ready an action to shoot at the second demon when it both comes within his line of sight and within 30 feet. Stealth: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (12) + 26 = 38

Gittik carves into the carapace of the flydemon; it's armor and very flesh seems to recoil, hissing in a painful hiss as the goodblades slice into him.
Gittik's foe goes at the barbarian with fang and claw and sharp nose...
of four attacks, only one claw finds purchase;
Gittik takes 7 h.p. in damage. The wound also bleeds copiously; 1 h.p. damage per round.
The other buzzes in at the flying Peterpanesque losthobbit.
It's now at b17; it's wicked spearlike nose missing by a mile.
at this point, Beldan's got a sneak attack bead on the one in b17, and it's the group's attack.
home sick.....huzzah!
*cough cough*

Sneak Attack!: 1d20 + 13 + 2 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 13 + 2 + 1 + 1 = 27
Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Sneak Damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 1, 1, 4) = 15
Edit: I’ve also got Bleeding Attack ability – so if the sneak attack is successful the thing takes an additional 5 points of damage per round from bleeding.
