We currently have 3 players who've expressed interest in remaining and perhaps one or two more might float back, but I won't be able to resume the game(which had barely started when Nameless disappeared) until I have at least one more player.
Just posting the rogue. I will start working on the background as soon as he is confirmed.
Right now i'm thinking something along the line of a robin hood-ish burglar. Stealing from the nobels and giving to the down trotten (allthough keeping a fair share for him self :D).
Take a peek over at the main thread and compare concepts with the three characters who appear to be left, if you're still deciding on a role to fill.
I'll be starting things up again shortly, probably working the sudden arrival of two others into the story as the group's rebellion-minded hostess does seem to be waiting for someone to arrive.

I'm interested but am work and so must delay reading through the thread in order to determine an appropriate character type to fit. I'll get back to you tonight. In the meantime, could you summarize for me your character creation guidelines?
Unless i'm missing it completely,
the characters left are
-Camris the paladin
-Zareth the conjurer
-Tenzekila the Ranger
and now the other new guy's rouge
hmmm, i'd also like to know character creation guidelines.
If I remember right from when I created a character for the same campaign, 20-point buy, Pathfinder core rules, max hit points first level, max starting gold. Also one trait allowed from the Pathfinder trait list and one trait allowed from the Council of Thieves traits.

Would you allow a Tiefling character, as discussed in the CoT Player's Guide? I'm thinking of a variant of a theme I proposed recently for a character in another game that ended up being full: a Tiefling Monk.
The child of a noble house that could not bear to have its name tarnished by the presence of Tiefling brood under its roof, she was abandoned on the monastery steps in a basket one morning as a bawling babe (her family claimed the infant had died during childbirth).

Feat: (from "Council of Thieves: The Bastards of Erabus") Fiendish Heritage: Devil-Spawn ("+2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, –2 Charisma. Stalwart and conniving, diabolical tieflings know the discipline and might of Hell’s legions." Variant ability rolls: 1d100 ⇒ 15

Ah, well, number 26 certainly works well for a Monk. "Your body produces searing heat. Any creature that grapples you takes 1d4 points of fire damage per round." Note that this is instead of the normal Tiefling Darkness ability.

I suppose a roll on the Tiefling Features table is appropriate. 1d100 ⇒ 26

"26 Face: Canine muzzle"
Ah, okay...I suppose I've got to live with that. I will make certain that her "dog-faced" nature is reflected appropriately in her Charisma score. It's no wonder she was kept cloistered in the monastery...

So, I'm hoping that the expenditure of a feat for Fiendish Heritage and the adoption of a Tiefling Feature will help "mitigate the disparity" as discussed in the section on playing Tieflings in the Council of Thieves Player's Guide. If you wish me to take other penalties, just let me know.
------
So, to summarize, taking the section of the Bestiary Preview on Tiefling Characters and modifying it for the variants applied above:
Tieflings are humans with demonic, devilish, or other evil outsider blood in their ancestry. Often persecuted for their strange appearance and unnatural mannerisms, most tieflings disguise their nature or are forced to live on the fringes or underbelly of civilized society. Though they are not born evil, it is an easy path for them to find, especially as most suffer at the hands of “normal” folks while growing up. Tieflings look mostly human except for some physical traits that reveal their strange heritage.
Tieflings are defined by their class levels—they do not possess racial HD. They have the following racial traits.
+2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, –2 Charisma: Stalwart and conniving, diabolical tieflings know the discipline and might of Hell’s legions.
Darkvision: Tieflings see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Skilled: Tieflings have a +2 racial bonus on Bluff and Stealth checks.
Variant Ability: Your body produces searing heat. Any creature that grapples you takes 1d4 points of fire damage per round.
Tiefling Feature: Face - Canine Muzzle.
Fiendish Resistance: Tieflings have cold resistance 5, electricity resistance 5, and fire resistance 5.
Fiendish Sorcery: Tiefling sorcerers with the Abyssal or Infernal bloodline treat their Charisma score as 2 points higher for all sorcerer class abilities.
Languages: Tieflings begin play speaking Common and either Abyssal or Infernal. Tieflings with high Intelligence scores can choose any of the following: Abyssal, Draconic, Dwarven, Elven, Gnome, Goblin, Half ling, Infernal, and Orc.
two tieflings would make things interesting, but admittedly possibly harder.
If there aren't any objections here's the way he'd look with the fiendish heritage feat. Rakshaa Spawn(+2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 wisdom)
a few rolls on the alternate ability list...
Spoiler:
1d100 ⇒ 87 You can survive on one-quarter the amount of food and water a human requires 1d100 ⇒ 75 Sonic resistance 5 1d100 ⇒ 9 You gain an additional +2 on your charisma
And one on the physical appearance chart thingy...
Spoiler:
1d100 ⇒ 65 Tail(other)
EDIT:
So to summarazie much like T&M did before me i've ended up with...

Rakshasa Spawn Tiefling +2 Dex, +2 Cha, –2 Wisdom: Deft and charming, these besital tieflings inherit much of the subtlety and guile of their proud Rakshasa progenitors
Darkvision: Tieflings see in the dark up to 60 feet.
Skilled: Tieflings have a +2 racial bonus on Bluff and Stealth checks.
Variant Ability: You gain an additional +2 to your charisma
Tiefling Feature: Tail - other I'm guessing this might be tiger-like, given the tiger headed appearance of your standard Rakshasa.

Nice, I like that. Given the campaign setting, I might recommend placing some emphasis on your disguise skill, being a bard and all.
Also, from what I've read so far, Tieflings end up being outcasts and loners. There is neither love nor hate between individuals of this race, although perhaps a measure of camaraderie given similar experiences of social persecution.
I am, but I'm at a bit of a disadvantage until I pick up the books. Probably won't be able to until Friday. Until then I'd like to look over the diabolical tiefling thing a bit more and make sure they're not going to disadvantage the other party members. I know Nameless was going to allow the Bestiary tieflings, but this will require a bit more research on my part.

Welcome, gentlemen! Please help yourself to any of the delightful food Lady Janiven provided for us. You may be the ones she's been waiting for so patiently.
Anyway, that's what I have the time for this morning. Now, I must off to work again.
Alias created, details starting to be fleshed out.
Grrr! My avatar! ;)
Oh, oops. I figured that, because of her truly ugly visage, she'd stay both veiled and hidden within the depths of her monk robe's cowl. This was a pretty good image for that. I'll find another.

Okay. I should point out that, if you look at the summary I posted above, that pretty much is all of the extra or different about a Tiefling.
Taking an objective view, I don't think it's too out of whack with existing player handbook races, especially since I'm not building a Tiefling sorceror.
The one place where I might be concerned about disparity with other races, were I a DM, are the resistances; however, if I compare this set of racial traits with, say, the Dwarf (especially since I effectively spent a feat in order to be a Tiefling), I still don't think it's imbalanced.
I'm interested to hear what the other players think. Either way, of course, I bow to the DM's judgement call and am quite honestly capable (and happy to) play within whatever constraints are decided upon.
Anyway, I'll continue working on the build tonight and tomorrow, which should give you the time to get the books and figure out what you think is appropriate.

Although some final polish remains to be done, I believe Loba is basically complete and ready for review (by both DM and other players). Tell me what you think.

I'd like to note that I love the Grachius character concept. Nicely done!
Thank you. I've been wanting to do a character like him for awhile now, however my regular table top group just didn't seem to be the right place for him. Meanwhile I feel like a school girl going to her first dance.
