I'll be starting my group in Shadow in the Sky soon. I've already begun to Pathfinderize the various NPCs in adventure, and the monsters where needed. I've even made myself a good long list of Ghoulette insults, including several specifically tailored to individual PCs.
What I'd like to know is what, if any, side treks or in-town encounters did you make for your PCs while they were working at the Gold Goblin? Any fun nights on the job? Introduce your PCs to any interesting NPCs?
I'm sure my players will find their own ways to have fun which I'll happily accommodate, and I have a few ideas of my own, but it would be good to see what other DMs have done.
Don't forget to use the pre-pathfinderized versions (Beta on most of them though).
For my group, the standard missions were plenty (not too much, and they probably would have enjoyed more, but enough).
VERY smart idea with the ghoulette insults list. That part fell pretty flat for my group - a master insulter I am not.
I'm getting pretty good at quick conversions, and I've got nearly all of the first module Pathfinderized (exceptions being the BBEG herself and the monsters in the back).
Knowing my group, if they're given a city like Riddleport, they're bound to find some tangential things to do while they're there. I just like to be prepared. Flying by the seat of your pants behind the screen is always fun, but it doesn't hurt to have some plug-n-play scenarios, NPCs, etc.
I saw the ghoulette insult thread and decided I needed to expand it a bit. There were some good ones in there, but I wanted more.
I've also got plans for later down the road, as detailed in the drow cuisine thread. Of course, Majuba's already familiar with that one.
