Similar in a manner to the post, Post Your CotCT Group!

All charactors are pathfinder beta

one dwarvern abjuration specialist wizard

one elven necromancer

one human infernal bloodline sorcerer

one human abyssal bloodline sorcerer

one human draconic bloodline sorcerer

sorry no charactor names, I am at work and without my charactor sheet

Taldor (RPG Superstar 2008 Top 16, 2010 Top 4)

My group's beta too!

Human (Taldane) cleric of Calistria angling for the gunslinger feat.

Human (Tian) rogue aiming for Red Mantis prestige.

Half-Elf mindblade orphan from Riddleport.

Human (Chelaxian) swashbuckler multiclassing with fighter.

Human (Ulfen) barbarian aiming for frenzied berserker.

Heavy human and no arcanists... Hmm, I wonder how it'll go.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

standard 3.5 group

Half-Orc Barbarian

Dwarf Cleric

Human Cleric

Human Rogue

Human Ranger

using the Beta rules we have
Half orc Barbarian
Taldor Human Rogue
Human Ranger
Human Wizard

Using 4E rules

Warforged Fighter (Elric)
Elf Ranger (Giles)
Half Elf Warlock (fey pact) (Lavain)
Eladrin Wizard (Jelana)
Human Rogue (Percy)
Human Warlord (Frauline)

We just started Children of the Void last Sunday. So far the campaigns going pretty good, though there have been a few casualties already.

3.5 Rules, Core Only + Unearthed Arcana + 1 Supplement of Player's choice:

  • Male Wood Elf Bard 3

  • Male Darfellan Battle Sorcerer 3 (with familiar "Polly" the Parrot)

  • Male Korvosan Fighter 3

  • Male Dwarf Dragon Shaman 3

We're just ready for the last chapter of Shadow.

  • Thayan party

    human evoker (future red wizard)
    human conjurer (future red wizard)
    human illusionist (future red wizard)
    human fighter (future thayan knight)
    fire genasi cleric of Kossuth/fighter
    gnoll barbarian/fighter/rouge (future occult slayer)

My group is 3.5 with various house rules and some Beta rules involved:
Human fighter, Human Ranger, Human Monk, and Wood Elf Rogue. Pretty strange group, but I may have a Cleric and Wizard join to round it out....

And I must share this, but I warn you it is spoilerific...

    Spoiler:
During teh Heist at the beggining the Elven rogue spent the entire combat to stealthily steal the Ghouls head from the Ghoulette wheel because he thought it was most awesome thing he had ever seen... And this guy is the other regular Dm iof the group so it wasn't like he was a first time player, he just was that intrigued by the concept. Kudos for that.

Cheliax (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Using Beta rules my group (subject to change)

    Half-elf Dread necromancer
    Elf Duskblade
    Tiefling Barbarian
Changeling monk (later planning to go into assassin)

    Using Beta for my group

    Human Ranger
    Dwarf Fighter
    Half-Elf Elemental Bloodline Sorcerer
    Half-Giant Cleric
    Tiefling Rogue
    Halfling Warlock (?)

Taldor (Pathfinder Adventure Path, Companion Subscriber)

I'm running two SD games. Both are Beta. One is 'good' aligned, and the other is 'evil'.

The 'evil' game is actually taking place on the boards as a PBP. We have:
Gierixa, a half-orc druid who looks like a normal human. She hates animals and people, and would prefer to be left alone with her plants.
Mordecai, a Cleric of Urgathoa and an ex-slave to a vampire court.
Ozbadin, a factotum; a man of many talents, and a master of disguises. His dayjob is helping his father with his slaving business.
[url=http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/playByPost/darkerDarknessBexilariusIntroThread]Bexilarius[/b], a tiefling monk; self-flagellating, and a ladies man. I've never had to write a sex-scene before. And it was with Samaritha Beldusk! That's practically slash fiction!

I encourage you all to read their bios and their writing. They have all done a fantastic job in breathing life into the game.

    My table top game consists of;

A CG Paladin of freedom; refugee and self-imposed exile from Lastwall
A washed up militia man, NG Dwarf Barbarian from Janderhoff
A pistol/rapier wielding NG bard who thinks he's one of the three musketeers.

Started a second group today. we have:
    Human Sorcerer (Elemental Bloodline)
    Half-Elf Sorcerer (Draconic Bloodline)
    Gnome Rogue
    Half-Orc Barbarian
    Half-Elf Cleric

We are kind of fighter light at the moment, although the half elf sorcerer tends to do a lot of melee fighting. The cleric was a last minute NPG addition since I have seen how this group works and know that hey tend to run from one encounter to another without taking time to heal up. They also tend to be a bit on the lucky side at times. For example,

    Spoiler:
the barbarian one hit killed Lymas Smeed because he is using a double axe and rolled two crits in a row. Of course he almost got killed by wererats when he could not get a single hit, so karma balanced things out for him.

We are using Pathfinder Beta and Unearthed Arcana gestalt rules. So:

    Half-elf/Varisian Fighter/Sorcerer (Abyssal bloodline)
    Half-orc Barbarian/Druid
    Elf Fighter/Rogue
    Dwarf Cleric/Wizard

(Pathfinder Adventure Path, Campaign Setting Subscriber)

    Halfling Cleric of Olladra
Half-Elf Cleric of The Silver Flame
    Human Fighter
    Half-Elf Conjurer
    Human Rogue(who rarely shows up)

We're most of the way through Shadows in the Sky. I'm running it in Eberron, so I have to change certain things. I think after this adventure we'll switch over to play a CoCT game. Though I would really like to play in Pathfinder's world than just run in it.

    Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

Meant to post this a while back... Beta of course:

Human Vudrani Destined bloodline Sorceress(5)/Cleric of Calystria(1) - Shri Tamana Sadgati
Dwarf Cleric of Torag(4) - Geldon Ironforge
    Half-elf (Ulfen) Rogue(5) - Synok Blantish
Human Katepesh(i?) Paladin(4) of Sarenrae - Ardurak Loka'Tan (replacing prev. player with Half-orc (Ulfen) CG Paladin of Cayden - Motan... What's with the paladins?)

Also DM PC - Half-orc Barbarian(2)/Wizard(3) from Korvosa. [He didn't need the old penalty to have a 6 Cha.]

It's been interesting. Finished up Shadow, started Children. They've *really* gotten into running the Gold Goblin, etc. Lots of great role-play and ideas to boost business.

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

    I'm using the Beta rules.

(Human) fighter/mage(envoker) going for Eldrich Knight

(Elf) Cleric(Calistra)/Mage going for Mystic Theurge

    (Half Orc) Monk/Fighter

    (Half Elf) Barbarian/rogue

We are using the Beta rules as well

    Our group
    (Gabriel) Half-Orc Fighter
    (Branisk) Human Monk
    (Dulin) Gnome Wizard
    (Garrix) Gnome Bard
    (Arioch) Human Cleric
    (Tess) Elven Rogue
    (Cammick) Human Barbarian

Seeing as my original group had to break up we have this as our current group:

    Miro De'Lute-halfling bard from Magnimar
    Cordal Brightblade-Varisian Paladin from Riddleport
Andrina Moonswift-Varisian Dragonblood Sorceress from Sandpoint
    River(deceased)-Half elf Cleric of Nethys
Robel Windermane(deceased)-Human Wizard from Maginimar, Miro's mentor

The two dead PC's both fell during the Raid of the Gold Goblin. They are going to be replaced with:

Shintira Tam-Half elf Cleric of Pharasma, currently under protection at the Silken Veil
not yet named and not yet class character. More than likely going to be a Dwarven Ftr/Rog.

    Everyone is currently level two

Under beta rules, these guys started their adventure last week:

    Amiri, human barbarian
    Genji, half-orc monk
    Lunesta, human cleric
    Piper, halfling rogue
    Bastion, human sorcerer

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path Subscriber)

    Using Beta Rules;

    Vlasta; human paladin
    Armean; human rogue
    Nerena; elven ranger
    Bullvi; human fighter
    Harek; human ranger

    (Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber)

Beta rules, currently wrapping up the big raid on the Goblin.

    Emmah, chelaxian female wizard
    Gerth, halfling male rogue
Gina, human female cleric of Pharasma
    Njalar, Ulfen human male barbarian/rogue

It's a PBEM, so things have moved slowly. Looking forward to the back half of Shadow in the Sky, though.

Playing in Galnorag's game, using Beta rules too:

    Chaine -Human fighter/town drunk
    Elan -Elven Wizard/rich kid
Mogen -Human Rogue/legend in his own mind
    Taub -Human Cleric of Desna/pardoner
    Zim -Kobold Bard/master of disguise

We just prevented a robbery attempt on the Golden Goblin and are looking for the guy who gave Angvar the tip off. We're also running damage control for Saul. It was all staged as an exciting kick off to the business. Fake blood, illusions etc...

Using the beta rules, we have three players.

All female characters, just hit 4th level after finishing the first book.

    LE Human (Chelaxian) Sorceress(Infernal Bloodline)

N Dwarf Druid w/ cat animal companion

    CN Half-elf barbarian/fighter

My group is using D&D 3.5

I'm going against the advice of the module creators and I am allowing my players to play Dark Elves. Instead of using the theme of the Return of the Dark Elves, they will be discovering a forgotten society of Drow. We also used Central Casting to generate backgrounds for each character, which fleshed out everyone quite nicely!

Zyn ( Female Dark Elf Rogue 1 )

    Mott ( Male Half-Dark Elf Barbarian 1 )

    Thorvalden ( Male Half-Elf Wizard 1 )

Maravan ( Male Elf Cleric of Caeyden 1 )

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion Subscriber)

    Using Pathfinder Beta rules.

Chekala Narion, formerly a human fighter focusing on intellect rather than brawn, now a gila-monster-like lizardfolk.

Vexatia Harkin, formerly a human Chelaxian bard, now a hulking brute of a half-orc, half-ogre.

Dorje Paradaz, formerly a human Hermean monk, now a tiefling.

Ulfric Sigardsson, formerly a human cleric of Gorum from the Linnorm Lands, now a rather fey and attractive half-elf.

The group is going through some changes. And I expect to add one more PC to the mix.

    very interesting-did everyone get reincarnated?

    Our group is Beta:

    Aigion=half-elf cleric of Desna

    his brother Stick=half-elf rogue

    Darilon=half-elf fighter(with a wicked urumi)

    and the humans:

    Pollygalla=female wizard(abjurist)

plus one undetermined PC coming in next session

one of the interesting things about this party is that we like to bull rush our opponents into the sea

    What's with all the Chaines?

    Sayler Van Merlin wrote:

    Yes...sort of...

    Spoiler:

I am using the Freeport Trilogy to bulk up the AP a bit and it has serpentfolk. If you read through the Pathfinder Journals from the first and second AP's...serpentfolk also feature in Golarion in some interesting ways. What has happened to the party touches on both of these themes.

So...sort of an old school reincarnate...where the body you get is "used" rather than "new".

    I guess it's just a cool name! :)

And still no characters in the same group named Alice...pity that.

We've had some revisions to our roster

    Warforged fighter (Elric)
    Warforged paladin (Alcove)
    Dwarf Celic (Balthus)
    Human Paladin (Trevor Ogg)
    Eladrin Wizard (Jeleneth)
    Half Elf Warlock (Lavain)

However, as of last game session Lavain and Trevor are dead. I believe Trevor's player will be bringing in a Elven Avenger dedicated to Calistria, which I think will be the perfect addition to our group and the campaign. I'm not sure what Lavain's player will come up with, but I could see a bard, barbarian or shaman as possibilities.

We just started Children of the Void last Sunday. So far the campaigns going pretty good, though there have been a few casualties already.

We have had a few character deaths but this is current. All Beta rules

Sorakrel - CG Elven Ranger 10, bane of drow and evil outsiders. Has some special dealings with Desna, mainly because she saved his life back in Children of the Void..so most of his loot goes to her.

Jowy Atrides - LN Human Monk 11, from Rahadoom [sic] where he worships a false god. Thus the reason for him leaving.

Arkot the Mage - TN Human Transmuter 11. Hails from Korvosa where his father is a member of the Sable Company. Last session Arkot had the unlucky chance to set off a feebleminded trap, so we may see a replacement soon.

Flanigan Collins - CN Gnome Arcanist Sorc 10. Flanigan is a resourceful fellow starting with his parents being drug smugglers in Riddleport. He has a quasit familar named Desmosdus and a dwarven cohort named Dorn (CN rogue 8). Flanigan thinks of himself as a reporter and is never seen without pen and parchment.

The group is 3/4 of the way through Endless Night and so far everyone is having fun. The complaint that I have recided it that sometimes the module pushes a little hard..but they have managed to survive so far and I have backed down the pace a little bit which helps.

We are playing SD online and I am a player, not a GM.

It's some time that we started, but we are still level 1.

Using the PRPG Beta rules the group looks like this:

Lynwerd Tomerrik Wellenbrecher (CN male halfling rogue 1)

Oswin (LN male human fighter 1)

Thassilo, Son of Varg the Great (N male human [Ulfen] bard 1)

Bakkalaureus Janus Hydarian / Master Mortalis (N male human [Chelaxian] sorcerer [aberrant bloodline] 1)
This is me! Janus doesn't know that he can cast spells, but in danger he becomes Master Mortalis and turns wild!

(Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Battles Case, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

Here is my Second Darkness group. We have only just begun. The attempted robbery has occurred and they are tracking down Angvar and Thulavia.

Crae Braesford, Duskblade 1, CN, Human, male.

Davor, Paladin 1, LG, Half-orc, male.

Isharin Svain, Sorcerer 1, N, Gnome, male.

Aerden Gezerol, Cleric 1, CG, Human, male.

Ophelia Grace, Rogue 1, CG, Human, female.

    Kross-Half Elf Sorcerer/Ranger
    Adria-Half Elf Duskblade
    Pink Floyd-Half Orc Barbarian
    Haiato-Human Monk

    All are Pathfinder Beta.

It has been a rough ride for the group, but they recently hired on a person to go with them on their journey so we will see how The Armageddon Echo goes.

You've been through that many and you're just up to TAE? I wish you lots of luck. That is the first adventure that has even challenged my group.

    David Fryer wrote:

Yes I have been through that many characters up to the Armageddon Echo. Sadly Saul took out 3 in the first module, and Depora and the Dretches took out another.

Depora made her escape and they encountered her in the Sea Caves with Shiindira. Two died at Witchlight, one to Yaris and 2 others to the Orca and Shiindira and one to the shadow demon.

Mostly it has come from bad dice rolls. I roll in the open and the battle in the sea caves I had rolled 4 confirmed crits in a row! The fight against Saul I rolled 3 in a row. They have been rolling poorly for the most part and their tactics have not been great.

I am looking forward to the Armageddon Echo and seeing how they proceed.

The sea cave battle resulted in the funniest happening ever in a campaign.

You should really post those to the Obituaries thread. I haven't managed to kill a single one, despite lots of 20-20 threats-to-kill (one confirmed on Saul from Pigsaw actually...)

    my Sd Group!

isaac: human male assassin/fighter he's got something going with samaritha

Haldvin: Dwarf male elementalist, he's trying to steal samaritha off isaac

Tempest: Elf Female wizard, (she's not going after Sam don't worry)

    and

Axeman: Human male warblade, (he's writing a book)

Well, just started tonight. We have (sorry, no names):

A fighter who was the last survivor of a mercenary company that was working for Magnimar and ran afoul of an army of stone giants the previous year.

An elf rogue who is from a wealthy elf family and is rebelling against them.

A cleric of Asmodeus who was driven to this dark religion when his family was murdered by a cult in Magnimar the previous year. Their murders were never solved.

A ranger bounty hunter dedicated to Cayden Cailien who was raised by dwarf miners after being abandoned by his human parents. Despises those who would enslave others and isn't too sure about the cleric of Asmodeus.

A half-elf druid who has developed a hatred of fiends due to his teacher's experiences with Treerazer. Drawn into town because of hearing about the theme of the tournament.

It'll be interesting to see how this group goes.

Just wrapped up Armageddon Echo tonight. We are doing a Pathfinder Beta game. My party includes:

Kaim - Male Human Ranger 9 (fights with 2 falcata)

Chaine - Male Human Bard 8/Fighter 1 (fights with a spiked chain and about to go into Eldritch Knight)

Ailse - Female Gnome Wizard 9 (Academy graduate and a member of the Cypher Mages)

Twyla - Tibbit Fighter 9 (fights with 2 sawtooth sabres, using a house ruled version of tibbits that are medium-size in humanoid form)

    and

Darien - Human Fighter 9 (Archer)

    My second Second Darkness group:

    LE Gnoll Cleric of Achaekek
    NE Hobgoblin Rogue
    CN Tiefling Sorcerer
    N Tiefling Duskmage

(Went for a monstrous theme, it's pretty interesting to have this group of misfits running around Riddleport stirring the pot.)
