Vic actually replied in this thread

Vic Wertz wrote:

Because they suffered so much last volume (and because we were able to speed up the process significantly thanks to lots of work from Gary, and particularly his spiffy new customs forms) we started with the international folks this time. As always, people who have combined Pathfinder and Modules subs are going first in any group.

We're hoping we can process everyone within a few days, as opposed to the week-plus it took last time, but it will still take time, so please be patient!

So it looks like those international customers with both subscriptions lucked out. (Yay, thats me! And I already found one monster in the bestiary that would be perfect for my Open Call query... assuming I get picked to write an outline anyways <fingers crossed>)

I downloaded it about an hour ago and I am very happy that the shipping process for non-american subscribes has been greatly improved :).

So far I only scrolled through the PDF and the artwork ist great. Well I still don't like the elven ear length, but I probably have to live with it ;). The background for skinskaw murders with the splashed of blood is creepy (in a very positive way) and seeing a "full color" Pathfinder Journal opposed to a black and white one is, at leat in my eyes, a great improvement.

Can't wait to receive the printed copy let alone see what the next issues of Pathfinder will bring :).

My order is still pending, alas... Could ya spoil what new monsters are in there? I'm dying to see some new Golarion baddies.

I want my copy of Skinsaw Murders!!!!

I'm prettier! I deserve it!

This is exciting. And I'm an international subscriber! Woo hoo!

Currently at 19% as I type, and going up.

well...I'm NOT an international subscriber....and I'm at 89% as I type.....can't wait to read it....

Carrion Storm (basically an Undead Raven Swarm, looks cool)

Boggard (Frogmen, were in a preview)
Lyrakien (Fey aligned with Desna)
Faceless Stalker (My favorite, changeling assasins created by the Aboleths)
Revenant
Lamia Matriarch

Downloading mine veerrry ssssllloooooooowwwwllyyyy on the ol' dial-up. Only three hours left!

ok...just paged through the PDF.......Oh My Deity.....this looks like it is gonna be a total BLAST.

It's coming,it's coming! Long way down under to OZ for the pidgeons to fly. Can't wait to view it, hope the hone doesn't ring and my boss doesn't look.

Quickly briefed all the sections. Holy crap does the Foxglove Manor seem awesome. I was wondering how Pett would make the horror and this is just excellent.

Also, undead crows? Nice.

I'm amazed at this adventure. I don't even like horror stories or movies, and I'm excited to run this for my PCs.

I am a hugue fan of CoC and i hope i will be able to reach this kind of atmosphere with D&D.
This adventure look really great, i am already looking for a Font to write the name of one in my PC in blood :)

Frickin awesome! I love this! Perfect for the month of October. I wish I was in a position to run it this month.

Great mood! Great threading of plot threads and hooks, including red herrings. Very well done.

I also love how you guys are taking the time to make the adventures build on what has come before.

I dare predict this is going to be the first adventure Path I'll actually want to run in its entirety. Like the intro said (Was it James Jacobs who wrote it?) I don't like running AP's, but I'll definitely run at least the first two of this one, and with the glimpses of the future, I just might end up having this be my first.

This issue definitely hit on all cylinders for me. Congrats to the author and the team for putting this together. A hearty "Thank you!" as well.

Like I said, I love this! I'm running I6 using C&C this month, and I wish I could have used this as a lead in.

Thanks!

He's obviously conflicted, unable to decide if they should toss my entry based on the misspelling of "gaol."

I am a US customer and I gots mine!

Good work Paizo!

Downloading as I type! I can't wait for the evilness within its contents!

I can't remember a time when I was so excited about AP releases.

Paizo MUST have made some kind of pact with Asmodeus to make it THIS appealing.

Or he's replaced their Editor one of the two. Maybe both...

It looks nice, not that big a fan of this one's artwork and whoever that made sherrif Hemlock needs to follow some anatomy lessons. Hemlock looks like he has women's breast.

But the adventure does look awesome and Magnimar is just what I needed :)

Hey, I still don't see the PDF as available on my downloads...I want to read it at work, what gives???

Ebolav wrote:

It doesn't let you download until they've actually got your copy physically ready to ship (in a mailing envelope with your address label on it) and charged your credit card.

That system is in place so that no one gets a PDF before they've been charged.. and ethically they probably can't charge a card until they know for certain the book is in the mail. You see, the first time someone gets charged before something has shipped, there's usually hell to pay, regardless of the industry.

I imagine their distribution team is busily packaging them up right now so it won't be long. Sorry buddy.

Osirion (Paizo Charter Superscriber)

I'm a U.S. dual-subscriber and haven't gotten my link yet, which is odd since a previous poster is a U.S. single subscriber and has.

No worries at this point though, I'm sure it will come through soon :)

Glanced at it; looks cool. Especially the haunts in the Foxglove manor.

Just skimmed it. Looks awesome. I did notice a tidbit in the foreward that character pages would be expanded to include more detail, which I very much like, but I'm curious as to what other aspects of the book this might affect. Less pages for the Journal or other supplemental info?

You should see the man-breasts on some of my friends. From the looks of some of the Paizo guys, I'll bet they've seen some man-t*~#.

Read most of the adventure last night and just wanted to say Wow.

I've been telling friends and accomplices that Burnt Offerings was one of the best modules I've read, but this one really tops it. The use of Haunts is brilliant and very, very creepy. I can't wait to run this one for my group.

Of course they've still got to finish Shackled City before we fire this up, but kudos on a well-written, evocative adventure.

I'm more concerned about the obvious error in Seoni's equipment list.

Her saline breast implants haven't been listed, though she clearly has them equipped on that clock tower shot.

I downloaded my copy this morning (US subscriber). I was only able to take a very quick look through before heading off to work....looking forward to reading it tonight :)

Wow, I'm on geek overload here. I just got my PDF's for Burnt Offerings yesterday, as I subscribed late in September. Now I have the PDF's for the Skinsaw Murders waiting for me to download as soon as I get off work...
Leaves me all tingly inside.

Ditto. I can see them in the 'My Account' section already, just waiting for me to get out from behind this accursed firewall...

Two-page character sheets were always part of the plan, actually, so it won't really be affecting much at all. And remember, we're only talking about a page here. An article can shrink or grow more than that only by having word choice tightened, art manipulated, font manipulated, and so on. One less page won't result in any real noticeable "loss of content."

Just got done skimming the whole thing. So far I'm very impressed. The adventure looks fun but creepy - perfect for October. Or is it Lamashan :-) Magnimar is fantastic, a city with a TON of back flavor. Magnimar is worthy of a setting of its own, very good job. The emerging mythology of Golarion is great with the article on Desna, and I was much happier with the Pathfinder Chronicles section; a lot of information packed into a story-like format thats much easier to read. I also like that there is a lot more information that I can share with my players in this book; more so than the first one (several of them subscribe as well, and were wanting to know what they could and could not read.")

Overall, I think that the book was easier to read, with better choices for layout and fonts, especially in the Chronicles section. The artwork was good and bad - the cartography has improved with a new font that greatly increases readability. The large art pieces are good as well, fantastic picture of Magnimar that really gives you an impression of the city's scale and just how big the Irespan is. The individual character art - not so much. I don't mind cartoony, but some of those character pictures are just too goofy for me (re: the "Madonna Cone-Bra Lamia"). But that's just my opinion.

All in all, I'm now wanting my players to hurry up and finish "Burnt Offerings" so we can start "Skinsaw". Good job again, Paizo.

Yey I got my PDF access just now!!!! Almost done w/ work, but this is what i'll be doing tomorrow!

Paizo Employee (Customer Service Happiness-Inducement Imp)

Ebolav,

I just checked and your Pf#2 shipped today, so your PDF is now available.

Majuba,

Your Pf#2 is still in queue for shipment. You should get it sometime today or tomorrow (possibly Monday, depending upon how quickly our packing imps are moving).

Thanks,
cos

I'd just like to chime in and say that, while I haven't had time to read through Skinsaw Murders yet, I did download the PDFs and flip through the pages. I've got to say I'm much, much happier with the artwork in this one!

Great job by the Paizo team, and I can't wait to get time to read through it.

Last month, my firewall didn't catch Burnt Offernings. But now, I'm totally c*ck-blocked from downloading my stuff.

Curse you, Mordac the Information Preventer!

Okay, had to point out the funniest typo in the whole thing - The first sentence of the description of Magnimar reads:

"Magnimar's sprawling slate rooftops and marble avenues stretch from the foundations of the unignorable tIrespan"

I want to add that I love the other material too. Especially the city and that last picture of it. Super cool and made me decide to place this "setting" next to the Wilderlands on my world.

Sean, thanks for your post -- seriously! I just went looking to see if you'd gotten access to your PDF yet, and discovered that you hadn't. While exploring what was going on with your subscription I discovered a bunch of subs that had the exact same problem as yours.

Fixing that is my top priority for tomorrow.

The pictures of Manigmar are great - inspiring for the DM and the players alike. More of that. The adventure is quite grim. I think that I will really enjoy running the Corn Field scene. (I will have to find scarecrow minis!).

Sebastian wrote:

It's no typo - the tIrespan is where the citizens of Magnimar go for their monster truck rallies and demolition derbies.

Just got to the haunted mansion at work today.

Disney this ain't.

I'm so going to enjoy running this for my players. They might not though. Hoping to read the core faiths tomorrow at work.

Actually, in the main label run, we charge your card, then grant you the PDF, then queue printing of your label. Labels are then attached to enveloped books in batches shortly thereafter.

We've only got a few hundred left to process; I have hopes that we'll be able to finish all but a few outstanding cases tomorrow.

First off, let me just say I am a huge fan of the Horror genre. With that said...

Wow.

Just, Wow.

I didn't expect this from a D&D supplement.

Bravo.

Seriously... Wow.

Richard Pett, my hat is off to you. You and the Paizo Crew did an excellent job in putting the horrific into a fantasy game.

I got it yesterday, and I have to say I was very impressed. I enjoyed the darker mood, and while one of the artists (whichever one drew Xanesha with the pointy golden breasts) was beyond my comprehension, the other continued to provide what I consider mood-fulfilling art. As to Richard Pett: the writing in this piece was well above my expectations. Very evocative, very well-done; I can see he has a great command of the English language. Mr Jacobs was right to laud the man in his introduction. I especially appreciated the lull in the battle with Aldern as he shifted between his three personalities, and I felt that Mr Pett did a fine job of considering the motivations of every character, from the wary farmers to the keeper of the sanatorium. The notes from Aldern were constructed with just the right touch of madness.

A quite definite shift in tone from the lighter first one, and it felt rather like a nice night of wine and H.P. Lovecraft. I'm looking forward to what new changes Mr Logue can provide in the upcoming installment.

Cheers.

Osirion (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Companion Subscriber)

I too have skimmed through the PDF. This offering looks better than the first. Really liked the Desna article. Magnimar looks amazing. Skinsaw looks hella creepy.

Can't wait to read and then run.
