Has there already been a thread or discussion wherein others have posted optional or additional roles of office within the kingdom?

There was a thread before the AP came out asking what people would want to do. Haven't seen anything since then. There have been a couple mentions of alternate roles based off of different government types strewn about some of the other threads.

Thank you.

Some of those are helpful.

One of the things I was thinking about was that the 11 primary roles are for the entire kingdom (1 each for the kingdom). There are however no doubt roles needed within various cities:

Such as:

Sheriff
Mayor
Governor
Judge
Magistrate
Chancellor

Someone that plans for city events
Someone that oversees construction or planning thereof
Someone that overseen facilities maintenance (such as sewers etc)

and other such ancillary roles.

These are not ideal for the PCs, but certainly important NPCs that have been good and loyal to the PCs would be ideal candidates for such roles as the players see fit.

I'm not thinking this from a "game mechanics" perspective (such as the way Treasurer, Marshall etc effects the kingdoms statistics) but certainly for a more robust roleplaying feel for aesthetics while the players build their kingdom up.

From that perspective, I would have one of the NPCs mention that he would like to have a position (say sherrif of major town X). The person who is Warden could then appoint him to a title that he gets to make up. Give the players the idea to award lands, positions, and whatnot to their friends, and put it on the players to come up with all of these terms. You would be suprized by how creative they can be.

I've added a City Foreman simply so they can set a face to the person directing the construction of their new buildings.

My guys came up with a Royal Geologist...or something of that nature to coordinate the mining activities in the kingdom. Other than that most NPCs have been getting mayor positions in their various cities.

I've come up with organizations for:
Trade guilds (merchant, specific goods like lumber, produce, and iron/steel, as well as taxation) - this may fold into one
Service guilds (everything from carpenters, masonry to prostitution) - folded together in fewer than 3 guilds
The Artisan Guild - painters, carvers, bards, all the arts
The Noble's Council - for those individuals the PCs raise to nobility
The Embassy - for diplomats
The Council of Science
The Council of Magic
The Council of Religion
and The High and Low Courts

My PCs aren't using all of them, some are getting condensed, but the main idea is that each organization is beholden to one of the individuals on the High Council, which is the initial 11. No king for us, there is a Prime Minister. Each person joining the council is nominated and voted on by the others, so the PCs need to work with NPCs since they may not have all the votes needed. None of my organizations add anything to kingdom stats, but they provide bonuses for construction and add more buildings available which have specific 'kingdom abilities'.

Since you asked, Robert; I started a thread on this topic a few months ago:
