For the gray maidens you could go elaborate and use masses of female paladins/antipaladins out of the Reaper Dark Havens line. Or you could be lazy like me and just use Box O' Generic Guys. Mine are from the mid 90s so they're gray with oxidation and all the same pose.
Madam Villain has always been something more. For each adventure there's a different boss battle and thus a different mini I've painted for either this purpose or a previous purpose.
I personally like the Reaper lines. They're well sculpted, usually $4-5 a mini, and they each have a lot of character. And they have literally thousands to choose from.
Or there's always breaking open your wargaming minis and plunking those down. I recommend minis from Wargods (if they're still around) for most of your demonic and/or half-human needs. Footsoldiers out of a Warmachine set make good knights, generic armored dudes, and even gray maidens. Warhammer Fantasy has your wererats (for a price) while Reaper has them cheaper but less clothed.
Of course, there's always D&D minis.
Or various small foodstuffs (for swarms). Whomever makes the killing blow gets to eat it.
Dark Apprentice, do you have WotC D&D Minis? I combed through my collection and selected miniatures for the first three adventures. I'd be happy to type up a list of the minis and the characters/creatures to whom I matched them if it'd be of use, but don't want to do so if it'll be nose-thumbed as "cheap plastic crap." Sorry, no edginess towards you or Susan, but had that happen once before when I did a lengthy post for the minis I was using for my ill-fated "Expedition to Castle Ravenloft" campaign.

I personally use the plastics as I've stated before due to my bad painting, lack of paitence, and the ease of getting a decent collection through secondary market. As such I would love to see your listing personally.

I have all the WOTC minis too and would love to see your list. I played chapter one but am coming into chapter two and it would help to see your list. Thanks...

Post away. I have no issue with doing it on the cheap. ;)
Alrighty! Seems I have my scale maps drawn for the first three adventures, but only have minis fully selected for the first two. Here goes; apologies that I don't have the names of the sets from which the minis came from recorded, but they should be found easily enough with a Google search. Most were matched by, "Eh, this is the closest I've got," but those that look especially good are marked with an asterik. Those that have matches in D&D Minis (and for which I had the mini...) have an equal sign.
Spoiler:
Edge of Anarchy
It looks like I sorted all of my minis used for the Old Fishery, street encounters, All the World's Meat, and some of Eel's End back into my collection, and I can't find the lists for those, unfortunately. Here are the rest.
* Yvicca: Howling Hag
Skinshear: Giant Frog (I like the reaction that players of small characters have, heheh)
= Dire Rats
= Otyugh
Shrieker: Ochre Jelly
* Wererats: Werewolf and Diseased Dire Rats
Rat Swarm: Swarm of Spiders
* Girrigz: Wererat Rogue
Jolistina Susperio: Blood of Vol Cultist
= Carowyn Zombies: a crapload of zombies in every D&D Minis set, it seems!
Dr. Davaulus: Voice of Battle
Queen's Physicians: Healer and Sage
Gray Maidens: Mercenary Sergeant, Aasimar Fighter, Axe Soldier
Bhrunlida Torthus: Dwarf Raider (I hate this mini, and it seems to fit what's as a nasty-woman)
Rolth: Cultist of the Dragon
Priests of Urgathoa: Deepshadow Elf, Tiefling Warlock
Ramoska Arkminos: Strahd (not really a good match physically, but I never got to use him for the aforementioned "Expedition" campaign that suddenly went kaput)
* Leukodaemon: Cerebrelith
Lady Andaisin: Champion of Eilistraee
* Daughter of Urgathoa: Boneclaw
I've no doubt there are more accurate representations using D&D Minis, but I just went with what I had and didn't do any hunting for singles. Would love to see what others have used, especially for later adventures!

Some of my suggestions use rares and will be included to the right of the | - as I am keeping Golbez57's on the left of it. These were just what I used, and I'm sure i have better representations of some. I tried to include the sets that I knew offhand in ()

Guards at all the worlds meat: ?|Clerics from Wrath of the Dragon queen (WotDQ)
Grau Soldado: Kerwyn|started with the Tavern Brawler then grabbed the first male guard i could find next time they saw him.
* Sabina Merrin: Inspired Lieutenant | Elf Dragonkith (I think that's it's name Blood Wars Rare)

Any unlisted characters weren't combat encounters, so I didn't bother selecting minis for them.
Has anyone compiled a list for EFOK? I've found these lists extremely useful so far.
