One thing that surprised me last year was how little beer swilling was going on at PaizoCon. For all the big guys with beards, there were very few toting flagons (nor wearing horned helmets and singing) in a city renowned for its microbrew.
I would like to suggest folks put together a list of locations for merriment or suggested gathering spots and times. Clearly drunken revelry in the halls is forbidden by the hotel, nor am I suggesting such a thing. But I wouldn't mind tossing back a pitcher or two with the lot of folks I met last year.
I know Colter and I will be bringing a few growlers of local brew with us like we did last year. We will also bring some our meade with us as well. We would love to hang out with people and drink beer where ever we can find a spot to do so.

The grocery store diagonally across the street from the hotel (Whole Foods) has a great beer selection. Grab some bottles and load up that mini fridge in your room.
The Pumphouse is good with a decent selection of beers. There are a couple of other places in downtown Bellevue near the mall (across the highway, up the hill and down the other side...so about ten blocks). Lots of good places within driving distance: Black Raven and Three Lions down in Redmond, Roanoke Tavern on Mercer Island, etc.

This looks like a nice place. I didn't see it on the menu, but do they have growlers?
Well that is one of reasons for me going is the beer swilling, the selection in spokane is decent but it is much greater in seattle area so looking forward to drinking with total strangers.

Sadly, as a Bellevue resident there are no good pubs in the area, you'd have to go outside the city to find anything decent, Rogue Brewery in Issaquah is decent. However, as the post above says, there is a GREAT selection of imported this thats and whatever's available. "The Hobgoblin" is a kick in the pants, and can't forget the "Arogant Bastard" :)

Beeeeeeer!
I guess I could really care less about finding a beer in my room.
Actually I drank at the rogue last summer kinda got the real pub feel to it but the beer selection was pretty decent, Rogue beers in spokane are pretty popular..They have a pretty good selection at the albertson's near my house, very tasty stuff. And the hobgoblin is very good.

ALBERTSON'S!!!
Don't even mention that place while I am at the Con.
Come to think of it, this could be a decent option... though its more of a large resteraunt with good beer type of atmosphere than that seedy tavern vibe you might be gunning for.
Also, if you really want to get your drink on and don't mind a 10-15 minute drive(except during rush hour), I highly recommend, Black Raven as the local brew pub with all of their own stuff on tap and maybe available in kegs. They make some really nice beers and they are right next to flying saucer pizza so it's a good place to grab beer and some fun pizza. They do growlers.
The other really good option is Malt and Vine. They sell beer, mead, and some wines. But mostly it's a beer swilling paradise. They always have 12 or so microbrews on tap, they will do growlers and they sell a ton of bottles from all over the world, including things like Lambics, Ciders, and even a few malt liquor style drinks in a fridge to the side. They are also right next to a great Gyro place that doesn't skimp on the meat. Doug, the owner and Lizzy, his wife are very knowledgeable and can answer any of your beer questions that you need answered.
Unfortunately, both are closer to paizo than to paizocon, but it's worth taking a trip if you really want to get your beer on.
Last time I was in Seattle I bought these funky bottles of amazing Mississipi Mud beer, but now I cannot find it anywhere.
Can anyone help?
As I remember it, it was kind of a gimmick beer. It was basically a black and tan in a jug bottle. You might be able to find it at malt and vine but I kinda doubt it. If it's still in circulation in supermarkets, whole foods, catty corner to the block that the hotel is on should have it. If they don't then you might be able to approximate it.
If anyone manages to find any I will happily purchase it from them.
And I agree gimmicky in a cool bottle, but I have been craving the taste the last few days.
No I dig gimmick bottles. ^_^ But then I love weird containers. You might be able to approximate it with a stout/old ale and a nut brown ale maybe. I'll check the store when I walk down to night. If I see any I will pick you up a bottle or two. I don't remember seeing it recently though.
Alright, Princethatmakesalotofnoise, Ruflux200 and i have a ponykeg of pyramid we need help with. Come by Friday night room 208 and help us decimate it.
