Yes, season 0 scenarios will continue to run. They should be easy enough to convert on the fly to PRPG.

Pathfinder Society itself, as of 8/13, will be PRPG. Conversions are addressed in 2.0 of the Guide book, due out around 8/1.

Sweet on both counts. Thanks, Joshua.

Well, I knew this thread had to exist, it just took forever for me to find it. Thanks for all the work that went into the video--very nice for those of us not fortunate enough to attend. The news about upcoming fiction was especially exciting. And of course it was just fun to see contributors, fans, and staff on the video.

Question:
Will it be easier in future for someone who picks up a product off the shelf to find their way here to the boards?

As an example, as far as 'contact' information in Pathfinder #23 - my most recent Paizo purchase - goes, I see an address in small type on Page 2 (hope you've arranged to have mail forwarded for the next couple of years, if people write to you based on old products, given your office move... ;) ), an email address for Wesley Schneider on Page 5 (assuming someone is bold enough to email an editor), and the online address for the Pathfinder section of your online store repeated several times in various adverts from pages 93-96.
I see no mention of the fact that there is a Legacy of Fire forum to your messageboards, where DMs can hang out and swap ideas for groups, or players can post the tragic demises of their PCs - or indeed any mention of the messageboards and community in general.
Lisa has spoken of a concept of trying to make Paizo a 'third place' for many people, but I'm not quite clear on how you hope people to find their way to the boards except by word of mouth or pure accident.

Elsewhere James Jacobs has explained that the four pages of adverts are there in Pathfinder line because the Pathfinders are the principle means you have at your disposal of raising awareness of other goods and services which you offer; so will there be more made of the messageboards and the community which you have here (a strong selling point I feel, even when posters such as myself are having occasional very bad months and are somewhat grumpy/despairing in our posts) in them in future?

Every single AP, product title and the simple search term 'Paizo' comes up with the appropriate link (or a damned close one that links the official site) in the first two results in Google. I expect people can easily find their way here if they want to.

As an example of what I'm trying to get at, I just googled 'Legacy of Fire', and the Paizo links it gave me sent me straight to the Paizo store. So if I am coming from a background of no prior knowledge of Paizo products, having just picked up a copy of a Pathfinder at my local games store, I now know that I can obtain the books online too, direct from Paizo, but I still have no idea that these boards exist, unless I pay attention to one of the bewildering array of options offered by little whatsit sidebars (in small text) down the flanks of the screen.

I don't dispute that it is easy to find the store; I am not certain that it is made clear anywhere what is available (potentially) elsewhere on the paizo site, and on these messageboards in particular. :(

I don't know what could be done to make things clearer. Maybe a little cartoony thing a couple of inches square in amongst the adverts at the back of Pathfinder saying 'DM or player in a Paizo adventure? Come and discuss your games and share your stories on our messageboards at: .....'

I can see what you're getting at.

I think everyone finds this community in a slightly different way. I, for example, came here asking a Greyhawk question after being talked down to on another highly active forum for the same question. Here it was answered directly and with enthusiasm. I also never participated (regularly) in messageboards before then. I came here because I knew that Paizo was pretty much the only folks putting out official GH content (in the magazines), visited the company site, noticed that it had messageboards and went to town.

I think that most people searching out information on the internet these days understands that there is a messageboard forum for pretty much anything they are interested in. My day job setting up dental offices even has a very active forum where techs and dentists and other folks involved in the trade share information and direct folks to useful links.

I'm simply saying that if someone wants to know more, and wants to be a part of the messageboard community, I'm sure they can find us.

Hey Charles:

You bring up a good point. I think we need to give some thought to how we can draw more people to the messageboards. Food for thought.

Looking at the nearest AP to hand (Descent into Midnight) I find JJ pointing reader toward: "[T]he messageboards at paizo.com."

This is at the end of the foreword.

I suppose it could be more explicit, or more obvious...

Maybe a sidebar in the AP issues that speaks to "Online Web Enhancements" where you could reference the Players' Guides as well as whatever chat/support/errata threads pop up for that AP and/or issue?

I see that the PFRPG has sold out on the first print run, so congratulations there.

Do you feel under any pressure knowing that more people than you anticipated seem to be looking to you at Paizo for a good gaming experience?

Beyond the moving forward of the scheduled second edition print run for PFRPG, has this made any other significant impact on your plans for the future in terms of products or schedules?
