Go! Btw, what was the name of the winning team again? My favorite moment was still the one-man SKR wave. Classic!

Can't recall their name, but the entire quiz was crazy-fun! I still think Paizo must consider the use of "Scott" as a name for a major villain in one of their adventures.

My roommate refuses to use "fantasy" names, and his gnome in Crimson Throne is named Scott Finch. I torment him by pretending that Scottfinch is a single name.

I second the crazy fun of the trivia contest. Thanks so much to Erik and Joshua for all the entertainment, and to the rest of the Brazen Strumpets for nearly carrying my mid-range Golarian knowledge to a win!

I am still smiling from that banquet. I expected it to be decent, but I did not expect it to be so damned entertaining for all involved. What a great time.

Even the food was good! And for 5 bucks!!?!

This was definitely one of the best conventions I've been to in a looong time.

Yeah, who did you use to score that? Seriously. The Roast was little overdone but the turkey was brined and delicious and great sides. And really decent deserts. That was the best food deal at paizo.con.

Yeah, the roast beef was decent, about the quality I expected. The turkey was exceptionally moist and tasty.

The whole banquet was fun, but the trivia questions were great. Even though I only knew the answer to one. And I only knew it because I had just spent like three hours sitting at panels/seminars listening to the person in question.

Any chance of posting the questions (maybe even in an online quiz format) so non-banquet attendees can test their knowledge?

GREAT IDEA!

I rocked the magic section. I should have done better on the faith section. =( That should have totally been my section to ace. I need to read more.

I'm sorry I missed the banquet. That really bummed me out, lol. Still, I hope to attend if there's another banquet next year *hint hint* ^_~

And it was awesome finally meeting you and everyone else in person, Erik. The advice I got from you all was invaluable, and I'll definitely remember it when submitting to the next open calls you have.

The winning team would be the RAZMIRAN FAITH BARGE UNION #107!

Yes, but we Bestmasters were just getting warmed up! We'll have you next year!! (Drat The Red Revolution...if it had been a wee bit BLOODIER, we would have won!).

By the way, Union 107 deserves the win this year just for the one-Sean wave ;-)

Osirion (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion Subscriber)

Agreed. The One-Sean Wave was hilarity.

I will need to brush up on my knowledge so the Critical Fumbles can win next year!

If only there were mechanics questions... :)

Agreed! I didn't think anything could come close to matching the ridiculous amount of fun I had at the Interactive on Friday night, but the Banquet just blew me away. The food was great, the company was fantastic, the preview was thrilling and the trivia contest hilarious. Awesome time!

Thank the almighty Razmir there were only five rounds. Coming up with a new variation of the wave each time was tougher than the quiz itself.

Best-masters forever! I have to say, Neil Spicer deserves a round of applause and wondrous amazement. I can't believe the amount of research he had done and the sheer amount of knowledge he has about the world of Golarion. Thanks for everything Neil!

Though I have to admit, having two of the most amazing adventure writers at the table, Greg A, Vaughan and Mike Kortes, did not hurt at all!

Congratulations to the Razmiran Faith Barge Union #107! You guys definitely deserved it.

Lastly, thank you to Josh Frost and Erik Mona for running the fab event!

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

Best-masters will win it next year! Although, I still blame Vudra...

I have to say, this banquet made the Con price (and plane tickets) worth it itself. The small setting makes it so perfect.... here's to next year! *waves*

Qadira (RPG Superstar 2008 Top 6, Contributor)

Brazen Strumpets. Soo close.

The team I most wanted to see win, won :) Would have just been ego-boo for me, but Tim, Mark and Liz have given a lot to the community. Good job, guys!

Erik (correct spelling!) and Josh, thanks for being such great hosts and sports (no hard feelings, I hope)! The Bristlesticks thank you for all your hard work and passion for Paizocon and Pathfinder. The banquet was awesome and I can't wait for next year's Paizocon! See y'all at GenCon in August. MC Frosty and Elrik Mona in the hiz-ouse!

Congrats to the Union 107 peoples!

"Damn you Eric Mona"
"Erik's balls."
"d20 does not have a zero on it."
"Sean is under the table"
"Frosty McLiscious is my rap name."
"I believe you invented words."
"There are four different people's handwriting for this answers."
"You misspelled it three times."
"0 (zero) AR"
"Mathematically you got a zero."

'Sebastian' was an answer.

The banquet trivia was one of the funniest and best things of the entire convention! You guys have SO got to do that again next year. Even when other teams were totally out of the running to win the prize, the entertainment value of their answers in the remaining rounds just made me laugh all night long...and I'm still chuckling over the excerpts Russ posted.

Mental note to Josh: Totally bring back the trivia at the banquet again next year!

Nani Z. Obringer wrote:

It is both a blessing and a curse sometimes that my encyclopedic-brain just won't let loose of so many seemingly useless bits of data from worlds that inspire me. And, in this case, it was a blessing! I just wish I could have remembered the origin of Nethys and we would have won the darn thing!

Also, you guys totally rocked it as well! Greg and Mike brought just as much to the table too. They amazed me too with some of the answers they had handy. I have to admit, though, my favorite part was high-fiving everyone over the "Curchanus" answer in the Faith round. Ah, good times...

If you guys come out next year, lets get the Best-masters together again. And don't forget to post the pic. Find me on Facebook or something and post it for me to grab. Next year, I've got to remember to bring my camera!

IIRC, it was even better than that. There were 4 people's handwriting in the TEAM NAME.

Fray, on a personal note, I want to thank you for taking on the role of the opening act at our table. I laughed so hard at your CoCT stories that it hurt. No matter what my players get up to from here on out, at least they haven't set any peasants on fire yet.

That was messed up, man.

I'd like to second that--you kept us all chatting when we should have been sitting with perfect Gamer Aloofness. Just made the whole night that much more fun.

It was a blast--we'll definitely be back next year (with another year of gaming under the Lady's belt, this time!).
