I would love to see this forum return to its rightful rank among the other forums.

Dude. The con is still over 7 months away. Perhaps they'll hoist it high when we get a little closer. ;-)

*snort*

Heave!

Who are you kidding? We all know that Shoanti can't count that high.

::whispers:: "But they can really crack their knuckles...on other people's skulls. Best not to mention the math stuff..."

Ha! This from the guy who can't spell the three letter word "ate".

Less banter - more pushing!

Lilith, you shouldn't have!

I have heard it is wise to cultivate healthy relationships with your kin, in case suitably violent mercenary work needs to be done on short notice.

Alright, good work people. Drinks are on me...as always.

Well, the forum went from way down toward the bottom of the message boards to up near the top - a sure sign things are ramping up a notch or two.

Now I'm getting excited.

Based on last years's Con, any idea when we might start seeing info about picking events, games, seminars etc?

Thanks!!!

(RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor)

That'll come later. Probably sometime after or near the end of RPG Superstar, maybe?

Regardless, I'm checking on my airline and room reservations now. And I'm going to fly in as early as I can to see if I can link up with Tim's whirlwind Seattle tour. Probably won't fly out until Monday morning either. Based on last year, it's good to maximize your time hanging out with so many cool folks. Lots of us didn't want to leave even after the con wrapped up.

We're flying out on Wed morning (June 16) and were leaving on Monday June 21.

I can't wait!

We're hoping to announce guests in the near term, seminars and such in the mid term, and will likely do events a few months before the show. Never fear--there will be LOTS to do!

(RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor)

I'm locked in. I'll be arriving Wednesday (June 16th) at 10AM and plan on touring Seattle with Tim either that day or during Thursday before the meet-and-eat. My flight out will depart on Monday morning (June 21st) at 11AM.

I'm really looking forward to it! PaizoCon was one of 2009's best experiences for me last year. And this time around, I'm hoping to join a few more games...and hopefully run one, too. :-)

You and me both. ;-)

By the way ... what exactly is the Meet and Eat? That's not the same as the Dinner we purchased tickets for, right?

No. The meet-and-eat is a fan-run event the night before the show that is separate from anything organized by Paizo.

Andoran (Paizo Charter Superscriber, Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber)

I reeeallly hope I can get up there for this one. Missing the first two has totally sucked.

(RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor)

It really is worth attending. I don't know how they'll top last year, but if there's one thing I've come to realize about the Paizo folks -- they'll find a way!

It's easy to top last year, we'll just ...

Spoiler:
Explosive Runes

... all of the hotel room doors.

I think I'm going to start calling you "V" from now on, Josh. Oh, and by the way: I can see your raven familiar ;-)

It's the only thing I get to organize for PaizoCon now! ;-)

Nah, it's all good. So! The Meet-and-Eat event takes place on Thursday evening. We reserve tables at a local restaurant, and then folks coming into town for the Con come, meet one another, have some drinks, eat some good food, and have a good chat. It is a great way to meet folks even before PaizoCon starts...that way, when you show up on Friday, you'll already know quite a few people there!

The first PaizoCon, we met at Todai!, a sushi-buffet place.
Last year, we met at The Crab Pot, and we will probably go there again this year as well.

Last year, we had over 50 people show up!

Tim, can I go on the super-fabulous-enchanting-mega-awesome-in-your-face-Seattle tour. I would really like that.

Um....I'm not entirely sure it was THAT good, but...yes. I would be happy to show you the wondrous sites of Seattle.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

The Crab Pot rocks, the future Missus Turin & I chowed down there two or three times while we were there last year, including the meet-n-eat. Good times, good times. Have fun this year all, we have ... important reasons for missing out this year. :)

Thank you Tim!

I know the value of being shown around by a local. My family is excited about this prospect!

(RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor)

At this rate, Tim is going to need an entire tour bus to show everyone around. I call shotgun! ;-)

Taldor (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber)

Yeah, it's called Sound Transit. ;-)

Seriously, when I took Hugo around last year, we caught the bus near my house and took it into the city. Pretty much walked around during the day....walking is good for you!

I suspect we will have lots of people joining us, so I will likely draw up an itinerary and have assembly points and times. Too hard to coordinate all those schedules.

Still...renting a van for the day.....hmmmm.

pssssssstttt..... you call shotgun in seattle by saying "I call Kurt Cobain". And if your stuck in the middle, your sitting "Courtney" in direct reference to another term for sitting in the middle.

I'll be at the meet and greet.

In fact I think I have two others convinced to come down for Paziocon from Alaska.
