It's the hotel's policy that no weapons of any kind be present on the premises and it's Paizo's policy to not only support their policy, but to also add that we'd really rather avoid anything that can be construed as a weapon--ie, no fake swords, plastic guns, etc.

Ah, glad this got addressed now. I’m slightly bummed I won’t be able to finish the costume with a rapier… then again, the sword would have been by far the most expensive piece of the outfit, so that’ll leave a lot more spending money for the trip.
So who pulled the short straw to take photos of all the costumes and post them to Flikr so those of us who are unable to attend can see Deidre's neckline...erm...I mean all the colourful costumery....
