I was wondering if any of you uber DMs/GMs out there are using MS Access, or any other database software to keep track of your campaigns or homebrew settings?
I recently completed a college course during which we built a multi-table relational Access database as our final project. While I was doing the work, I began to see that this could be a powerful tool for gamemasters(not to mention anyone who has a ton of info to keep track of). I'm sure many people are way ahead of me on this.

Actually, if you have access to a web hosting account, I've found that a web content management system works perfectly.
I've been using Joomla (www.joomla.org) and phpbb for my group's web site for months. We've got pictures, session recaps, a forum, and it basically works as somewhere the gang can hang out while waiting for the next session.
It also serves as a great repository of house rules, character sheets, and any other downloadable content. You can also make the site private if you're not interested in having the public at large see what you're doing.
