Trust them to be giddy and excited when it gets released? Yes, absolutely.

Actually, when it all goes quiet you can begin to wonder where everybody's gone. ;)

Yorkshire, UK - signing in - again.

If they don't get giddy and excited I'll make sure to do it for them. I just found out from my roommate that we are continuing our Rise of the Runelords campaign today :). We are on the Fortress of the Stone Giants.

In the same light,

Are the Pathfinder modules really that good? I've done the beginning of Age of Worms before I knew what Paizo was, so I have that sort of test in my mouth. But that's it.

Should I start at Pathfinder #1, is it still viable?

Maybe you should get a subscription to second darkness, which has started just days ago?

Clovis, NM here! Have you ever read One of Our 50 is Missing? Lot's of funny comments heard over the years reguarding NM.

You'll love this....My fist name is Clovis

I'm having a total blast as a player :). I haven't had the pleasure of playing any of their other paths yet though. I really like the characters and the setting in general a lot so far :).

Reading through them is interesting enough. As for how they actually play, I don't know.

You could start with either PF #1 or PF #7. RotRL is more classic style, and CotCT is very urban, with some travel I guess (I haven't read it)

The Beta is out--I'm downloading now.

And Birmingham, AL since we're calling out locations...

Is it a good sign that the Beta has completely disappeared from the store site?

Scratch that--the My Downloads page shows it as the Beta, but when the ZIP file get's downloaded it's still the Alpha...

zip file said beta for me...and i ended up with an alpha...

Explains why site access is so slow currently... :D

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

Don't celebrate too quickly--I'm still showing the file size as 10-12 MB, not big enough for the Beta. Looks like the pointer is corrected to the Beta file name, but the actual file isn't in place yet.

Gary must be in the middle of the several-step process he mentioned would be required to get it up. Patience, my friends.

Same here at Puerto Rico (an island on the Caribbean, Center America) for both parts: we are part of the USA and the wait.

Starting download as soon I find the link. Please stand by ...

Andoran (Pathfinder Superscriber; Pathfinder Battles Case Subscriber)

Hold on to your butts...

(My Beta download also said Alpha inside, only 162 pgs)

Cheliax (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

OK, lemme fire up my printers...

Another Puerto Rican?! Here?!? Wow!! Where you from?

Patience? This is Madness!!! ;)

Qadira (RPG Superstar 2010 Top 32)

He said 36 meg, right? So if it says Beta, but it's 12 Mb, it's an alpha.

Back to refreshing!

"Wull, it look'd laik a Beta, en ut sez ut's a Beta, BUT..."

Kennesaw, GA. (30 minutes north of Atlanta)

I am amazed at how wide spread the interest is. It would be pretty cool to see the reports that show the global locations of the people downloading the beta.

(Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Modules Subscriber)

It's back to saying the Alpha now. Gary must love us for complicating his already-busy schedule by taxing the Paizo infrastructure as much as possible...

i wonder if refreshing madness is affecting him posting it...

Andoran (Pathfinder Charter Superscriber)

Back to alpha on the "my Downloads" page.

Oh, and reporting in from Cologne (Germany). Although I myself am Belgian. ;)

Grand Lodge (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, GameMastery Maps Subscriber)

I just downloaded a second copy of the alpha!?!?!?!?!

OK So technical problems are obviously gonna happen...

erian_7 wrote:

He came on the chat a moment ago and said he was going to have to take the site down briefly. I guess that sales are beyond anything anyone predicted at GenCon and he has to play long-distance support to that, and the Beta upload comes second. He mentioned that the Beta, Campaign Setting, and Dorkness Rising were flying off the shelves.

JavertCMH wrote:

Nah, it's not a problem. He's getting everything set up is all.

I'm sure it'll be fixed soon. Paizo rocks :)

Yeah, amazing, isn't it? World Wide Web, not just american wide web or european wide web :D

But you're right. That would be interesting to see.

Franz Lunzer wrote:

You can start with any of them. They rock. I'm running the second one: Curse of the Crimson throne and Playing in the runelords... very sweet replacements for my Dungeon and Dragon Mags.

Now I know how my cat feels when I use the laser pointer.

"Oh...there's the Beta [Pounces]...nope...just alpha. Won't fall for that twice...OH BETA [Pounces]"

Sorry Gary if we're making your job that much harder, we're just so excited!! lol :P
