I'm interested to know if anyone specifically planned out any interesting character quests involving PC's that either took the "Noble" character trait or just put it in their backgrounds. I'm looking for some character quest ideas to make for my noble warmage player. He's from a wealthy family with ties to mines and plantations, similar to the Taskerhills.

Anyone come up with good stories of corrupt nobles families that he might be able to stop? Drawing a blank on this one....

One of my players is playing the rogue Gwen, who is married to Vortimax Weer. I created a scenario where Vortimax was stressed out and spending a lot of time in his labratory making secret magic items, demanding that Gwen run the shop for him and not to bother him for any reason while he is working. Gwen found out from a house servant that Lord Taskerhill came over and had a heated argument in the back room with Weer, but she couldn't hear about what. Sneaking into the labratory, the PC finds that Vortimax is creating listening coins, a headband of thought reading, and other spying items for Taskerhill. Unfortunately, the PC doesn't follow through after this.

After a couple of adventures, she finds that her husband is sneaking off in the middle of the night. She shadows him to the pavilion next to the lake where he finds him meeting with Lady Aslaxin. Sneaking in closer to hear their conversation, they discuss what they can do about Taskerhill since he has been holding their love letters detailing their affair over their heads. After discussing it for several minutes and coming up with no solution, they go back home and the PC races to the house before Vortimax can arrive. Unfortunately, I made it clear that the affair occured before he met Gwen. I should have kept it vague. But the PC again doesn't do anything more.

I had it set up so that Gwen could break into the Taskerhill manor and find the letters (possibly to hold over her husband; Gwen is CN), find out that Taskerhill intends to use these items to spy on Vhalantru, detailed notes on the other nobles in Cauldron with some blackmail evidence, and also proof that Taskerhill hired an assasin to kill the mayor. And even more juicy stuff in Anna's room, including detailed notes about "the competition" along with plans to socially attack them, some evidence of forgeries that she has created, and notes about how she truly regards her fellow Stormblades. But the PC didn't bite, so its now just some campaign background for my personal use. The players may come across some of this by an unforseen vector.

I had planned on using the adventure "Ill-Made Graves" as a funeral for the father of one of the PCs.

Where can I find this?

Searching the Wyrm (www.paladinpgm.com/wyrm), I find it in Dungeon 133. It was the Celtic-flavored adventure.
