I know how it looks like, but will we ever see an illustration of the Crimson Fleets flag?

To save me routing through the various issues of Dungeon what does it look like?

As far as I know it is a red Jolly Roger featuring two crossed scimitars. I have read it on theses ovely boards but don't remember where. :)

I was just asking for an illustration, because I plan to make one myself. The crimson flag should hang behind me and my screen when the Fleet is attacking Farshore!

What about this one: Jolly Roger ? Just change the background to red, and voilá, there you are. (At least, according to your description, I have to add)

Stefan

Thanks for the link. :)

It's unlikely, alas. When ordering art for the magazine, we never have enough to illustrate everything we want. As a result, each issue comes down to making hard choices on what to illustrate and what not to illustrate. Any illustration featuring the Crimson Fleet flag has so far lost out.

For the record though, the flag is a crimson Jolly Roger with a horned skull in front of two crossed scimitars.

A somewhat demonic looking skull? :)

Sounds like a job for a photoshop expert (hint, hint)

I'm no expert and the edges aren't tidy, but how about this one?

Ok so let the Crimson Fleet Flag Contest (CFFC) begin! :)

I made this: www.elderbrain.com/x/crimson.jpg

and this version: www.elderbrain.com/x/crimson2.jpg

Here's one I made, based off the Jolly Roger that was previously posted:

Here's a little assist...

Well, if I dare say so, but I like carborundum´s version the most, because I think white on red is better readable than black on red, and the other one has a black background. But the skull is perhaps a little too detailed, I like TwilightKings version better in that regard. (White or rather silver on black or red happens to be correct from a heraldic PoV, btw.)
BTW, according to wikipedia, pirates flew a red flag when they wanted to say: "No quarter, no captives". So you all know what to make from the Crimson Fleets Jolly Roger...

Stefan

I just have to second Stebehil. Great work guys!

When I was making it, the white didn't look right for some reason. But I have redone it, and it looks better:

When I read the flag's description, that was my first thought! ;)

I like that one! Nice work. Now, where was this website with fan-created AP stuff?

Stefan

That would be theRPGenius.com and thanks in advance for sharing. :)

Regards,
Koramado

Since I could not find the flag linked on this page I did my own.

Hope you all like it.
