As I am coming closer to running the STAP, I have decided to play up the environmental themes and color. I am looking for information or suggestions, official or otheriwse, regarding the temperatures and weather of the region. How many hours of day light are there daily? As one gets closer to the equator the days and nights tend to be of equal length.

What time of year does the AP begin? Does it matter? How hot and humid is the Isle of Dread? Sasserine? According to an online map that shows the Greyhawk longitude/latitude lines, the Isle of Dread may be in the southern hemisphere very near the equator. Thots?

Lavinia: How tall is she? How old is she? How about her brother? Yes, I have players that will want to know these details. They love detail because it adds an extra layer to their game.

Lastly, how long is the adventure path suppose to take on avergae in game time to execute? 4 months? A year?

Please and thank you all in advance.

In the F. Realms it's late spring at the start and Sasserine is certainly in the tropical region. I've played up the heat but the group loved it! In the 30+ (90+ Fahrenheit) afternoons, they planned their assault on the Blue Nixie from the terrace of a waterfront cafe, sipping beer with ice in it!

This was also a great vantage point to occasionally spot the hawkers paying their protection money to sneaky looking types and spot Avner Meravanchi riding an elderly gentleman (a poor one) into the ground for not getting out of his way fast enough.

I'd really like to hear some additional thots. I do appreciate the one given, but I need Greyhawk material. Mr. Jacobs can you fill in these blanks, please?

You're the DM. All of these you can simply ordain as you see fit for your campaign.

Again, make her whatever will suit the interests of your Players (or romance potential for their PCs) or else the needs of your campaign.

IIRC there are to be both Heroes & Villains Galleries for STAP just as there were for SCAP, probably in Dn #150. If you can wait that long then you'll have canon for everyone.

Again, IIRC 18 months, give or take depending upon your campaign style and how you as a DM unfold things.

Ultimately, as DM you control it all so do whatever you want. Otherwise, you might as well leave the gaming table, sit on the couch and just watch the movie or have someone read you the book.
